Evolution of drawing Holly short
I’ve been trying to draw holly since i read the books, here a few of the ‘not-super-embarrasing’ designs that i came up with.
This one is probably one of the least accurate to the book. On the left is my old sketch and on the right her design a bit more cleaned up. I kinda liked the uniform but i also gave her really light skin and long-ish hair which didn’t fit at all.
Also her suit had to seem high-tech and Protective but also not look too human-like.
I really liked her body-shape in this sketch, which is also pretty much what my current design of her looks like.
Here are a few recent tries of her general face and hair shape. Pointy chin and nose or roundish-face and curly hair or a square-shaped face or a sharper take with high cheekbones. I tried them all and all oh them didn’t look right.
I gave up all that special face-shape stuff and now i like it a lot more.
Also i figured that she must have more than just one uniform. There is probably a basic, unisex one that everybody wears and then she also might have her super-cool-mission-suit for when she goes to save the world from Opal Koboi.
