No, Karen, non mutuals aren’t the devil. We’re not going to burn your hands if we dare like your posts or like the same posts as you or if we dare follow you under the impression that we’d be welcomed in your presence. We can exist in the same place as you, and you should quit with the demanding tones about how “non mutuals and personals” should never like your posts/rp threads/tell you they like your writing or dare follow you.
Reblogging them is understandably creepy. But the rest is just…absurd overreacting. 9/10 times, it’s probably completely innocent and you’re wrong.
Like sorry but maybe they like your writing and don’t know how to roleplay and they made a blog to follow your writing? It’s not that deep.
Not everyone knows what roleplay is or even if they’ve broken some rule, you can just treat them like a human being instead of cursing them out like they’re the devil incarnate.
Treat people with respect, for god’s sake. I don’t know where you forgot that you’re a human being and not an idol to be worshipped the second you get behind the screen, but the non roleplayers are humans, too and deserve respect and empathy. Non roleplayers also make up fandom and deserve to be respected.
You can choose not to follow personals or non rp blogs, I just want you all to think carefully about how often a lot of you seem to say really mean things about them, put them down, act like they’re not worth acknowledging. It’s this attitude that makes people leave rather than stay.
