Fandom Flummery Broken Down!
Flummery (noun): 1.easy compliments. 2. a sweet dish made with beaten eggs, milk, sugar, and flavorings. 3. Easy, sweet compliments (for our purposes 😋)
What: -An online card exchange that allows you to share some of your favourite fandom creations with others
Who: -YOU! You will receive an online card from one other member of fandom
-THEM! You will send one card to one (or more, if you choose) other member of fandom
Where: -Online! It’s cheap, easy, and (hopefully) painless
When: -Sign-ups are open until June 29th. Sign up HERE! -You will receive your recipient’s info by June 30th -Cards will be sent out between July 1st and 31st
Why: -Inceptiversary, of course! -It’s also a great way to share what we love with other members of fandom, as all fandom works are meant to be. The newbies, the olds, the lurkers, we all deserve to interact with the best the Inception Fandom has to offer!
How: Step 1 - Receive recipient info from @inceptionficrx, including interests and rating preferences Step 2 - Comb through all your favourite works (art, fics, blogs, etc.) Step 3 - Fall in love with those works all over again Step 4 - Select at least 5 (or more!) works that fit your recipients interests Step 5 - Create a virtual greeting card for your recipient using a website like GreetingsIsland or create your own with editing software like Canva and send it via email Step 6 - Post links to the works you’ve selected into the message of the card or email and send to your recipient! Step 7 - Enjoy the links you receive in your own gifted card and post them on tumblr (#fandomflummery) so everyone can check them out!
