I wanted to talk a bit about this, since it’s been on my mind for a while.

I used to draw a lot of opmeg (top Oppy x bottom Meg), and back then I received quite a few comments that made me really uncomfortable. Those reactions made me realize that the way I interpret and portray them is actually very different from how a lot of other people who ship them do.

Because of that, I gradually shifted more towards megop and megastar (though I was already drawing megastar even when I was doing opmeg).

Just to clarify:

When I was drawing megastar, I never really received the same kind of uncomfortable comments.

I don’t personally know anyone who draws both ships, so I can’t really say whether this is a broader pattern or just my own experience.

I still like opmeg, but every time I try to draw it, I can’t help thinking about what happened before, so I’ve been drawing it a lot less lately.

I might come back to it in the future? Just… probably not right now.

My friends and I were just talking about the phenomenon of calling buff male characters "mommy" or "babygirl" and drawing them as delicate twinks… so I wanted to share a specific Chinese-fandom term for this: Ni-su (nisu / 泥塑).

It actually originated from "reverse Jack Sue (逆杰克苏)." While a "Jack Sue" is the overly idealized, invincible male lead, Ni-su was originally a way to flip the script, aka deliberately portraying these characters as weak, soft, or feminized as a form of parody or critique.

In modern fandom, it's broadened into a mainstream creative lens. It covers everything from "soft feminization" (like using female titles) to full gender-swapped versions. It’s all about finding that hidden delicate energy in a character, even if they're canonically rugged.

The opposite of this is Zheng-su (整肃). It’s basically the direct inverse of the nisu lens. For characters who are already manly, zhengsu means sticking strictly to that canon vibe. But if a character is canonically a "twink," zhengsu fans will often make them more masculine, essentially pushing the character closer to the "Jack Sue" archetype of being cool, powerful, and charismatic.

About being excluded from a Starmeg feed on Bluesky

Summary: I was excluded from a Starmeg feed that was originally presented as a general fandom feed. The creator claims this was due to technical limitations requiring user-level filtering. However, similar content from others remains in the feed, while my posts were selectively removed despite fitting the stated criteria. This indicates inconsistent enforcement and suggests the decision was subjective rather than purely technical. This post documents the timeline, context, and reasoning behind that conclusion.

Timeline:

Around Jan 7, 2026 — A Starmeg feed (Link) was created by user: mozusuka (Link).

Jan 10, 2026 — I was excluded from the feed via an exclusion list (Link).

What happened:

The feed was presented as a general Starmeg feed, but in practice, certain users were excluded. (On Mar 20, 2026, the creator updated the description to clarify it is a personally curated feed: "This is a feed of works and stories personally selected and compiled by Starmeg (top starscream x bottom megatron).")

Technical context:

The feed uses Skyfeed’s “remember posts” function, which stores past posts beyond the usual time limit.

Under this setup, once posts are recorded, they cannot be removed individually or by adding regex filters.

Excluding users via a list is a working method to remove these recorded posts, and is the method the creator chose to use in this case.

According to the creator’s explanation:

They use keyword filtering to exclude content (e.g., “megastar,” etc.).

They admit that keyword filtering does not work on older/recorded posts.

They claim they "had no choice" but to use user-level exclusion lists to keep the feed focused.

However:

Inconsistency in Filtering: Many posts containing the supposedly "excluded" keywords are still present in the feed because the creator has not added those users to the exclusion list.

Selective Enforcement: In my case, the creator used a manual moderation list (the exclusion list), despite my posts not matching their stated exclusion criteria (negative content or unrelated topics). As side note, I also post Starmeg fanart.

The Logic Gap: The creator claims the system's technical limitations "forced" the exclusion, yet they allow other "incorrect" content to remain by not applying the same list-based exclusion to those users.

So:

This creates a clear inconsistency:

Ineffective keyword filtering is applied broadly to others (leaving their "wrong" posts in the feed). (The keywords list: Link)

Effective list-based exclusion is applied selectively to me (removing all my posts).

Given the known behavior of the system, this is not a technical necessity. It involves subjective decisions and manual targeting without transparent criteria.

This post is for documentation purposes and future reference, I am not asking for any change on the feed or further response. 

If you personally dislike my art, please just say so. Do not frame your decision as a "technical necessity" or claim you are doing it "for the good of the community" when the filtering is clearly not applied consistently to everyone else.

It is misleading to curate a feed by filtering content for others without publicly stating those criteria. Without clear, objective standards, a feed presented as a general fandom resource is instead a tool for subjective gatekeeping.
