I think most fans who find the characters “hot” tend to only see the characters as characters from that specific country rather than as a representation of the country itself.  So when someone says “England is hot”, I think they usually mean “Arthur Kirkland is hot”.

That saying so, it does get really creepy when I see people being all “British things are hot!” and the like.

I am so glad to see, that the support for Louis as X Factor judge is so strong and positive after the initial apprehension. Makes me very proud to be part of this fandom (we still continue to side-eye Simon, but the main focus is always on the happiness of our boy).

Sometimes I react differently than fandom. I wasn't really mad at Barry's decision to FP. At all actually. After the finale I was thinking about the story possibilities this opened up and how the way they framed it cemented Iris and Barry as THE couple, and Iris would be the one he returned to. I'm not mad at Barry disappearing in the SF either. It's a story, obstacles will appear, I'd rather they be the couple that keeps getting separated by external forces than triangle stuff.

Anything is preferable to triangle stuff, Anon, let’s be real here. And since 3x15-3x16 slaughtered a majority of the fandom, I think we can all say external forces tearing them apart is a lot better than some sort of internal conflict taking place between them.

As far as you not reacting so extremely to the other things? I think it’s just testament to you still having one foot solidly placed in reality and so you can see things more objectively/big picture. Whereas the rest of us are too far gone to think logically outside of what is happening in the now of the show. XD

That’s my interpretation anyway. :P
