LEVERAGE x SHERLOCK: The Three Little Lies Job
Finally finished this and here's the moment Beatrice returned home. We have two dads who's very relieved to have their child back (Mycroft may look put together but he took the three years v hard, Greg tries to look okay but yeah he's also a bit of a wreck but nut as bad as Mycroft)
Meanwhile we have varying reactions to this reunion since this outs Beatrice's actual identity as the only and v protected child of the British Government/The Iceman and the DCI of New Scotland Yard along with being Sherlock Holmes and John Watson's niece - occasionally nephew.
Eliot isn't wholly pleased since it feels like he just got conned and tbf after Sophie's con in S1 it felt like he lost all trust in the one honest thief he met which was Clara. He knew that's not their name but he believed them and they got close gradually to the point that feelings were blooming bit by bit but this becomes a bit of a thing that pushed the romance back a bit.
Sophie's just a bit shocked since she never thought that she'd ever see Beatrice's dads in person. She knew their identity, hard not to when she planned on infiltrating Bea's debut but ended up not doing so after seeing how secure the party was.
Parker is just confused since she just knows Clara to be Clara. A good grifter who can't pickpocket and tells convincing little lies that push people in the right direction so she just doesn't know who those two are and is trying to figure out if this is con related or something else.
Hardison knows and he's trying to respect Bea's privacy so he's trying to think of a good lie to Nate so he doesn't question them. He's a good bestie who would try to keep them safe if it means protecting their loved ones.
And finally, Nate. He already had a hunch there was more to Clara's story and why they swerve away from too much recollections of the past. He just respects that distance Clara gives him. But hearing them call Mycroft Daddy then being hugged by their fathers, seeing the relief and love there? It wasn't hard to figure out why Sterling never seemed to catch Clara during their jobs and why Bea had an impeccable accent that mimicked Mycroft so easily whenever they had to act British.
Anyway, definitely my fave episode in the season/series y'all uwu Second is when Eliot and Bea get together along with when Eurus and Bea get closer! <3

In which, in a particular con, they had Clara take over as the main grifter while everyone sets the scene and for the first time Eliot sees that they are capable of presenting themself as more than the quiet and almost conservative teammate that could tell convincing lies.
Seeing Clara flirting and smiling and giggling away while speaking with their mark using a soft British accent was something that made Eliot pause.
Fake accent aside, what would it feel like if Clara flirted with him?

So, for you Leverage TMA crossover, has the leverage gang had any brushes with the spiral? Their whole thing is about confusing and deceiving their targets, so I figure that might have caught the spirals attention at some point.
Okay. Wow. This ask is INCREDIBLY old, sorry for mostly forgetting about it but I remembered this AU today and thought I’d ramble about it now.
I don’t think they ESPECIALLY interact much with the Spiral, at least not as a team, but there are situations of “overlap”.
So, here’s a couple scenarios I’m thinking of:
client is victimized by some rich asshole, but has the bad luck to ALSO be targeted by the Spiral. Eliot at least would do his best to also help with the latter, but it’s really outside of their “job description”.
client is victimized by some rich asshole who is associated with the Spiral. This would bring them in direct conflict with one manifestation of the Spiral, but it’s “nothing personal”.
after the team destroys their target’s life, said target falls victim to the Spiral
But like, the main thing with the Spiral is that it’s about distorting someone’s sense of reality, IN ORDER for them to feel fear. The Leverage team, they might distort someone’s apparent reality, but they want it to be “invisible” from the inside; they want their target to feel SAFE, because that’s when they’re most vulnerable. I’m imagining some “professional disdain” from the Spiral towards the team, like “you could be so good at this yet you choose to go the exact opposite direction”.
The Entity interaction that MOST sticks out to me, vs the Leverage team, is the Buried. What’s their phrase again? Something like “you’re under a heavy weight, that it feels like you can’t get out of”. The Leverage team EXPLICITLY goes against a good chunk of the non-physical things that the Buried stands for.
...which now leads me to think that, you know that one episode where Hardison gets buried alive? Yeah. The main bad guys in that episode might not have been Buried, but there would be some connections there.
