Can't really remember how long has it been since my bestie @velacuervo drew Candlemaker from 'The Book of Life' but it's still nice! It's so good that it's a pity to wipe it away...
Thank you, @mexopolis for your works!

Another thing I drew, inspired by @in1-nutshell's writing on Sandro.
Now it's his mama's turn!
On the left is her kind's name. The Chinese mythology artbook says that such creature is often described as a river monkey with green body and white head so I came up with an idea how to imagine her looks in that case.
Okay, as for her backstory... she lived in Huaihe river before she suddenly felt someone fall into the water. It was Macaque! Over time he got interested in her which grew into a marriage and having Kaihu.
Licao is quite humble so she doesn't really like to wear some luxury clothes like the ones emperors wear. This hanfu depicted in the drawing is Macaque's gift for her birthday (some round number, I guess it was 100 years? 500 years?). He gifted it to her saying 'it matched her eyes' which really touched her.
And the peony theme wasn't lost either! Licao would sit motionless just so Macaque could weave those big flowers in her fur. Sometimes he'd put so much flowers into her fur, it made her look like she had a whole mane of flowers (and without any flowers it's still a mane). Either way, with or without flowers Macaque would still think she was beautiful.
Yep, even her monstrous Wuzhiqi form!
And Licao loves him as well, despite the additional ears. She would cover his ears and hum a soothing melody to calm him down when it hurt during thunderstorm or fireworks.
Gods, it's just... wow.
First I stumbled upon @neoki11's fanart of Wukong and Macaque, then I liked it and now...
I got their merch in real life directly from the author! YAY!!!
Thank you for your art!
Been to a merch market on 16th and 17th of May!
Met many people and also a few people with the same tastes!
And bought some things on my fandoms.
Thanks to @neokill I found more authors making Monkie Kid merch!
Drew this dude during a break at work.
I have no idea what are they 'cause I haven't thought about the details yet.
Sometimes inspiration can hit you whenever you least expect it, haha!
Sharing my art Part 4
This beautiful boy is one of my favourites, haha! Even though I used another art as a reference, I liked how it turned out.
That's how it started...
Me and my bestie @velacuervo were messing around and discussing and I was like 'How would MK and others react to a flying monkey like the ones from Oz?' And then we were SO inspired we decided to draw the monkeys' reaction. Earlier his name was Hibiscus, then I named him Alexander for some reason until he became Kang Bao.
The monkey meeting Macaque (my art).
I'm barely holding back from laughing, it's just so silly)))
The monkey meeting Sun Wukong (my bestie @velacuervo's art).
Yeah, as you can see we thought of him as a postman or a courier of sorts and she drew him like this, haha! He's just both cute and funny!
Aaaaand I also remember drawing this bruh...
I feel so cringe when I look at this thing...
Man, I really can't draw full height or even half the things of a body for the characters. And I seriously need to learn how to draw that...
But, some time of thinking later, I decided on a name for him - Kang Bao (康宝, kāng bǎo) the Flying Monkey. Perhaps I'll try to give him some backstory of sorts but I'm not sure when I'll get to it.
So, I've been waiting for my diploma from my university and still waiting...
Until 24th of July, I'll be looking for a job.
But good news! Two days ago I started training with my dad in bojutsu. Sometimes a favorite character - at least one of them, haha - can inspire you to learn some martial arts.
And for now, I'm working on the translation of a fanfiction that I wanted to translate, so wish me luck, guys!
I received an e-mail from my academic supervisor about my graduation thesis' anti-plagiarism check. And holy cow I was shouting around my whole apartment!
Pure 69.88% of original work! To be honest I wrote it by myself.
And the topic of it? Transformers! The translation problems of speaking names on the Transformers' example, actually)
I'm hoping to get back to drawing and writing fiction once I'm done with the graduation thesis' defense and get my diploma.
Wish me luck!
