The hero All For One has had to spend the better part of two hundred years bitterly regretting giving his younger brother, the future villain One For All a stockpile quirk in a desperate attempt to keep him safe, especially since his brother’s ‘successors’ have used the Quirk alongside their own in their destructive desires to take over Japan. All Might is by far the worst, followed closely by his teacher Nana.
Izuku decides to become a villain because he can’t stand the way he and his mom are treated because of him being Quirkless, and the fact his father is never around (which is the result of DFO’s desperate fight against All Might). If the world is going to treat him like shit, like he’s nothing, he’ll prove them very, very wrong.
Todoroki Touya was supposed to be the villain Endurance’s successor, but due to his Quirk not matching his body, this failed. Instead, after his father attempted to kill and get rid of him, all while claiming it was his fault for using his Quirk when it wasn’t safe, he became the hero Dabi, determined to take down his father.
Bakugou Katsuki wants to be a villain desperately, to be the best villain, better than All Might desperately. Unfortunately for him, everything he tries makes it seem like the role of hero would be more fitting for him.
The single worst moment in All For One’s history, even worse than the mistake, is discovering All Might has made Izuku his successor as Symbol of Evil.
