    It’s not a surprise that something would have happened. There were so many experiments; aimed at trying to find out more about his long-gone quirk and to make his frail body strong enough to accept the longevity quirk. They fill his nights with terror and pain, screams filling the air and hands ripping blankets off.

    It’s a wonder that Gran Torino hasn’t kicked him out yet, but the man is stubborn and on some level he understands, has known three of the successors, hadn’t made much of a fuss when introduced by Toshinori. It’s been nice, peaceful, calm...

    That absolutely changes one morning when instead of a 200+ adult, out of Tenshi’s room comes a very frightened eight year old child. He’s trying to smother his coughs into his elbow while looking around. “Mommy? Daddy? Big brother? Wh-where are you? Wh-where am I? I...I’m scared!!!”

Undyne leaned her forearm against the wall of the training room, fists tightened, teeth clenched.

During dodging practice, she landed on her right foot in a funny way, causing her ankle to twist. The trainee picked herself up again -- hopefully, she thought -- before Asgore’s fire attacks dissipated. That way, he didn’t notice her struggling. The hope for that was smashed when she was greeted with a jolt of pain traveling from the ground to her leg, forcing her to limp to the wall for support.

She knew Asgore was going to be doting on her, which she didn’t want. How was she going to get stronger if they stop whenever she gets hurt?

“I’m fine. I’m FINE!” she said between huffs. “Let’s keep going.”

Nezu’s ears flattened back as he looked away, turning around and jumping onto his desk. “I apologize. I am still learning human interactions.” He apologized, explaining.

      “Well, at least you can apologize.. I admit, I didn’t expect you could speak,” the girl replied, taking a look at the creature. Was this an animal with a quirk? Or a human with a quirk that made him this way? “Can I ask.... what you are?”
