Asta was back on the college campus that she graduated from. She was taking classes again, to broaden her horizons so to say. It was business classes to advance her photography business. She was being spontaneous and took an Ancient History class this time around. Why? Because Asta has always been fascinated with history and wanted to learn all she could about them.

Her backpack was heavy as she sat it down beside her chair. Her camera was in its case and she sat it on the table in front of her. Her brown eyes scanned the room and seen that it was getting pretty full. She was in the front so she couldn’t really see behind her. Settling in the chair, her eyes land on the professor, she wasn’t sure exactly who she was, it has been a while since she was here.

Quickly pulling out her notebooks, she gets ready for the class, trying not to make eye contact with the professor.

For once there was no turmoil. No secrets. Nothing but Will and Shelly. Too much had happened all at once. It was like a landslide. In the span of a month, Will had discovered his wife was a witch, she was a sniper for the CIA, their son was exhibiting signs of being a witch as well, someone had come their home with an attack, and Shelly had saved his life with her sniper skills.

Will was on the couch relaxing and looking over a file and Shelly found herself just staring at him with this shy little smile on her face. They needed to talk. Hence, the Aunts had their children. However, Shelly couldn’t think of what to say. There was really nothing to say on her end about keeping so many secrets from him. Yet, she couldn’t stop staring at him.

That look. Damn, how could someone resist it. Or him for that manner. Valerie forced herself to look away. John didn’t remember what they had. He’d fixated on Anna upon waking and asked Val to leave. He didn’t remember that either. There was a lot the man didn’t remember and Valerie couldn’t forget. 

“I’m alright. It was just a kidnapping, ya know typical day for a cop,” she tried to ease his mind, but the look persisted. “Okay, I will be alright John. I promise. I’ve dealt with worse.” 

Why had she ever agreed to let him fake date Anna Moore? There should have been an alternative to get into InSyndicate. Why couldn’t he remember how deeply she still loved him? 

Sighing, she looks back at him. A gentle hand reaching up to cup his cheek. Until this moment, Valerie had made it a point to not get to close in fear of rejection. But he had asked her out again a few months ago, was that a new start or was he remembering? Valerie had no idea and couldn’t bring herself to ask.

For most people, Lucifer put on heirs. Acted like a well traveled rock star named Rick Mallum. However, there was as close to the truth as Lucifer could be without giving himself away when it came to Harry. The Demon had watched from afar as his own son was tortured by other demons. Now he’d had enough of watching Harry suffer. A massive turn of events for a man that relentlessly stalked Harry’s girlfriend Annette and had even hypnotized her once into doing unspeakable things with him.

Lucifer forced his way into the small cottage the couple lived in. As always, Harry was doing his best to protect Ann from the demons that had gotten past the barriers.

Peeking around Harry, she spotted the King of Demons and made herself instantly smaller. For once, Lucifer actually looked guilty for something he’d done.

“ENOUGH!”  he shouted at his underlings. “I don’t care what Black Lodge wants with Harry. He and the woman are mine!” The demons stopped in surprise as their master spoke. “Leave this place. Leave this place and never come back or I will see to it all of you go somewhere you can never return from.”

The sounds and voices that emanated from the small recorder had the skeptic baffled. How could the device pick up things she couldn’t hear? Even more, how had Harry heard them and she had not? The recording had meant his report of hearing the demons wasn’t an hallucination. It was all real. 

“How can this be real?” she asked and furrowed her brow as she listened. “Is it Latin?” she rewound the tape and played it again, pushing the volume all the way up.

Maria was used to the changes in his bearing and personality from time to time. She wasn’t always able to tell what had triggered the change, but she knew that this time it was her worry of losing him again. The pain and the trauma she had gone through while captured had been nothing compared to the anguish over the reality of his death.

The sight of him storming into that lab -- taking out operatives and technicians -- had been the best thing she had ever seen; even if she had thought for a bit that she had finally lost her mind.

“Most people would say I’m evil for being glad of that. But I don’t want to be their guinea pig again and I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

He was all she had left.

Of course, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t do something stupid to protect him if she had to.

Vengeance Not Strength || Mahdi & Agron

Mahdi rolled his eyes as he looked back to the werewolf at his side. Sometimes he thought that Agron had replaced his brains with rocks when everything had gone to hell. Then again, maybe having rocks for brains was preferable to what he went through himself.

“My brother’s shade torments me enough for not being faster and preventing his destruction. I would not like to imagine that pain he would be able to come up with to use against me if anything happened to you while you were in my company.”

Nasir had loved Agron just as deeply as he himself had loved -- no.  He did not want to think of that; could not think on him right now while there was the need for him to stay focused.

“My brother is dead.  Your brother may yet live.” He did not believe that, not really. Not when he had seen the destruction left behind when he had regained awareness after the attack. “The only way to know for sure is if you keep breathing.”

They did not know for sure of Duro’s fate, but they both tried to hold out hope. They did not see him fall, but they also did not know for sure what had happened. After all, Agron and Duro had not been as tightly mind-linked together for most of their lives as he and Nasir had been. He had not needed to see his older brother turn to ash to know he was gone as Agron had seen.

Nasir had been ripped from his mind, taking most of his sanity with him.
