Regarding this weekend’s unpleasant fanfic drama, I now have screenshots showing:

 - the hacker’s various handles, all attached to the same FFnet user account number

 - proof that the hacker is now reposting stories from the original writer, saying that they are “to replace deleted stories”

 - proof that this person has changed her username to the writer she’s trying to creep on, as well as altering the name of that writer, once she got control of that account.

Happy to send these images out to involved parties, save them to add to a complaint, or compare notes as things progress.

Just some of the reasons I wish the fandom would all move to Ao3, forthwith.

I’m having a bit of a hard time understanding what ‘headcanon’ means to people. Like is it ‘Hey it would be cool if -X-, and there’s nothing in the actual story that makes X impossible.  Even if it might be improbable, I still like to think about it as if it were canon.’ Or is it ‘Hey I genuinely believe -X- is actual canon and the creators of the story just don’t have the guts to say so, and I will get into arguments over this’ ? Because the first one is cool.  I’m totally cool with that.  The second one can be kinda weird if it’s something that’s really improbable.
