“…What are you doing?”
It had never occurred to the Five that Po could wake up before the bell. Even with the whole Tai Lung incident being literally only being resolved a few days ago, and he had the natural talent for kung fu, they were still going off of their first impression of him
Po looked up from the boiling pot of something he had been meticulously putting spices in. “Makin’ breakfast, what does it look like I’m doing?”
Viper sniffed the air with a flick of her tongue. Crane furrowed his brows, a little put off by the slight change in routine. Monkey would have tried a preemptive taste test if the serpentine master didn’t hold him back.
Mantis, who hopped from Monkey’s head to his spot at the table chimed in, “This early?”
“I mean, ch-yeah.” The panda let out a good-natured scoff at that as he rifled through the cupboards for bowls. “Now’s usually the time when me an’ my dad start making the first batch of the day, so, like, the early customers don’t have to wait as long, y’know?”
The atmosphere shifted. So did Po’s expression, from jovial, to… something less so as he begun to fill the bowls and set them down.
“What’s wrong?”
Surprising everyone, it was Tigress who voiced the question.
Unfortunately, to Po, it sounded more like a command to answer than an attempt to sympathize.
“Nothing, nothing!” the panda said as he put his hands up in mock surrender. “S’just that it still feels kinda weird to… be up here? And not at the restaurant?”
Tigress considered this for a moment. “You’re homesick.”
Po bristled. “I didn’t say that!” he said in an attempt to rebuff, but it was clear to everyone in the room that he did imply that.
“If that’s the case,” Mantis chimed in. “We could all eat outside for lunch. This is our free day.”
“Oh, great idea!” Monkey said, his bowl already half-finished.
“Let’s at least get through breakfast first,” Viper added, giving an incredulous stare.
The Furious Five are going to go to dad’s restaurant, he thought with an inner voice brimming with excitement.
Oh, no, the Furious Five are going to go to dad’s restaurant, he thought as he considered all the ways it could go wrong. And also how his dad had the propensity to tell embarrassing stories about him.
And just like that, Po’s less-than-jovial mood shifted to… him suddenly feeling like the Gauntlet of Wooden Warriors had sucker punched him in the stomach while on fire as the Five ate their breakfast in relative silence.
The panda, meanwhile, practically dunked his head into his bowl as he ate it.
The Longest Video Game Marathon Playing Pokémon (I want to be the very best)
Hey, join me on my journey to be the very best
I’m sure you’ve all at least heard of Pokémon, the fandom that swept over the world in the ’90s and infected me with an everlasting fever that I believe will return periodically for the rest of my entire life.
Now, when people think of Pokémon, they think of a lot of things, but when I think of Pokémon; I think my best friend, Cody. He is the single greatest person I’ve ever known, and he is no…
I started crocheting you guys for a friend of mine. What do you think?
… Sorry Totty, A little girl squished your doll face after hugging the doll.
Osomatsu leans over and inspects the doll with a serious face, but can’t help it. He breaks into a grin. “This is great! I want a little me that can go in my pocket, that would be too groovy!”
Karamatsu nods, folding his arms with a smirk. “A perfect likeness.”
“Of course!” Todomatsu giggles. “Who doesn’t want to hug me and squish my face, right?”
*A letter in a periwinkle blue envelope in the fan mail pile*
Dear Karamatsu,
I am terribly sorry for almost ruining your Summer concert. I did not mean to make your band mates to try and shorten the lovely event. It was so enjoyable to watch I wanted to give back. I enjoyed the fireworks and the music. It was simply magical.
I was a bit lonely in a different country, in a big house. I let my thought slip out before I would wait until after the concert. I thought a good night sleep that isn’t in a van would be a good way to end the summer tour. It was a good excuse to be less alone.
Please forgive a new fan’s social faux pas .
Truly.
Jade
PS- If you ever come up to Eastern Canada, I’d be in the crowd.
PSS- I want to also apologize to Choromatsu for almost ruining profit funds with the concert. He does a lot of work I think a lot of us fan rarely see which makes the concerts seamless. Thank you for that.

A letter arrives, a bit late but still right on time:
Dearest Jade,
Please, do not think for one moment you ruined the show! The presence of each and every fan was most appreciated, as was your generous offer. I apologize if my sudden panic caused you to think it wasn’t! And I am most grateful for your kind words on how the show affected you.
Fortunately, we did not need to sleep in the van! Since we were still in Tokyo, we were able to return home and rest after the show. I hope that you felt less alone among the fans in the crowd, with all hearts beating as one to the music.
Please, forgive me if I came across as rude!
I remain, gratefully yours,
Karamatsu
P.S. Choromatsu does not feel you have anything to apologize for, either. Do not worry, sweet Jade!
