For all of you who want to use this (or those who don't necessarily want it, but really really need it):

I made a Guide to Bucky as an Amputee (link will be in a reblog because Tumblr is not working with me today...)

I do not have a limb difference so it's all based on research I've done myself and there is no personal experience on my hand. But since so many writers seem to not know where to start when it comes to Bucky as an amputee I thought I might as well share what I've found over the years...

As I also state in the document itself, this is merely a beginner's guide, I implore you to do your own additional research too!

If anyone with more personal knowledge has any pointers you can either comment them directly in the document or send me a private message on the hellsite! I'm open to learning more!

Also like what sort of questions do y’all have about using herbs in your fanfic? Like what do you need to know? I wanna help! Lol!

Like how to prepare simple herbal medicine?

A list of flower meanings? The magical/symbolic meanings of herbs?

Herbs archetypes? What planet they are ruled by? Lore?

How to make your own medical kit? What herbs would help out in the wild both for eating and fighting off enemies?

Is your character a street medic?

Is your character named after an herb or plant or flower?

Do you need to find out what herbs would be helpful in your story??

Please ask me!!

this doesnt need a response or anything, just wanted to say how cool your guys reference section is !! when i was first getting into fanfic years ago that wouldve been SO helpful, and its so cool u guys made that for new fans :)) awesome stuff!! <3

I DO need to respond because I'm absolutely thrilled that the Reference Section is getting some use! Thank you so much for reaching out and bringing attention to one of the lesser known parts of the library.

If you're new to the blog (hi! welcome!) or have somehow just missed the Reference Section (that Card Catalog got you first), then you are in for a treat!

Have you ever wondered about how to tag your fic? Or where you can find other rec blogs? Maybe you want to link your AO3 to your tumblr, or your tumblr to your AO3! Maybe you just love reading fanfic, but feel nervous about leaving comments. Information on all this and more can be found in the Reference Section!

Basically, if I come across something that I think would be helpful to the fanfic community, I add a link to it in the Reference Section. Some of the tips are written by me, and some of them are written by the @wolfstarlibrarian (who has their own awesome Reference Section as well!) and some are written by other blogs that I just happened across that had really good information. If you haven't used it before, I hope that you'll at least check it out in the future and see if it's something that might be useful going forward!

Truly, I'm so excited that you found it and found it helpful. I always love hearing from Library Patrons and appreciate that you took the time to send this.

Spoilers for mid Act 1/ Waukeen's Rest under the cut, but this is about this image:

And why he's making this face.

So, that is a section from this larger screenshot:

Which takes place in Waukeen's Rest after you save Benryn from the fire. I'd never taken Astarion into this room where Benryn is crying over his wife, so I'd never seen this before. But just look at this face:

He looks genuinely empathetic... like there is no disdain on that face, only empathy...

This happened after the Teifling Party for me, and I'd like to think it was a relevant part of Astarion's eyes being opened to how he feels about you if you're romancing him.

Like, he kind of looks like he gets it. And that is both beautiful and heartbreaking.
