As a favor to an old friend, Pakku, Iroh takes in his (step)granddaughter, Katara, while she figures out what's next for her in life. After leaving college after only two years, Katara feels adrift. In her hometown, she is seen as Kya's echo, and after trying so hard to be what everyone wanted her to be, she is drained.

Now in Ba Sing Se, working at the White Lotus Cafe and living above it with her new (annoying, rude, grumpy, and maybe a little hot...) roommate/manager, Katara just hopes she can reclaim herself before she murders or sleeps with Zuko...
