When words multiply. . .
Then there's that time that you write a single provocative scene which is intended to be a stand-alone for a specific prompt, but which needs just a little more as lead-in and denouement, but those bits need a little more as explanation, and a few scenes as buffer, and then a few for history and humor, and the thousand-word scene ends up becoming ten-thousand words with no end in sight. . . Yeah. That's this time.
