Glove Making: an adventure

first design:

wayyy too narrow. pulled some stitches to fit it in

otherwise, fingers fit nicely

thumb is too long, there's leftover space at the tip

second design:

still too narrow to fit, even after cutting the opening wider

wrong lenght of fingers

wrong lenght of grey fabric (too short)

tried doing something funky with the thumb, ended up overcomplicating the design (bad)

also did the thumb wrong, it's inside out

third design:

finally fits like a glove! (eheh)

cut the grey fabric too short, not enough seam allowance (VERY Bad)

had to add extra fabric to be able to sew it together properly

there are holes i couldn't sew between the fingers (not pictured)

fingers fit delightfully, no leftover room

the stitching on the fingers is visible (and ugly)

overall i'm happy that i finally have a definitive design but by the gods it's taken me literally hours and weeks of handstitching work and trial and error because i don't have a sewing machine hahah

what i've been busy with lately:

i'm making myself a partial fursuit!! right now i'm working on the wing sleeves while i wait for the materials for the tail to arrive. nobody told me sewing was so much fun, i'm having a blast here even tho i have to handsew everything since i don't own a sewing machine ×~×

the mask is what i fear is going to be hellishly hard...
