On New Year’s Eve many promises are made. We decided to ask Kaya Renz, fitness-coach, nutritionist and a longtime member of the fangfrisch family for some help how to keep faithful to our pledges.

Why do you think that so many of us fail our New Years resolutions?

Many people simply don’t have the right motivation and discipline. Meaning they set a too abstract or unrealistic resolution in the first place. Unfortunately humans are creatures of habit and new things are often hard to implement. That’s why it’s better to set smaller goals and first when they are reached accelerate to higher levels. In this way new things can more easily become habits and it becomes more natural to do sports and eat healthier and find your own WorkLifeBalance!

Did you pledge something this year? If so, would you mind sharing with us?

I’d love to share with you! Last year I successfully graduated the further educations I had set up as goals for myself. Thereby I earned licenses that are the very ground for reaching my dream job. 2016 my resolution is to completely focus on my career and exploit all my possibilities.

What can one do to stay focus and motivated? How do you do it?

For me a successful resolution is built on:

* a clearly defined goal

* a reachable goal that is still challenging

* a clear and realistic timing for when the goal should be reached

Your first fangfrisch berlin gig this year is on the Panorama during fashion week and besides being a professional in training and nutrition you are also a designer with your own label. What designers do you think we should keep an extra eye on?
