I'm sorry if this question sounds rude but if...

Apparently there is a meta going around in a certain part of the fandom that Ken is going to become a woman and this is going to mean he can’t be with Touka anymore for some reason. And people really believe this.

One of my friends just informed me of this and I... I just... I... I thought we had hit the bottom of the barrel with the Kaneki and Rize theories from the Torii gate scenes. We still apparently had further to fall.

Look Kaneki growing in feminine traits is a Jungian growth trait in stories omg it doesn’t mean it’s literal. And to take it literally requites a stunning lack of reading comprehension. He isn’t going to turn into a woman. If he did he’d just be a lesbian with Touka also. 

But to Anon whom I accused of trolling: I’m truly sorry. But no. He won’t be a woman.

I am so over people on this fandom spreading false information. An anti bothered us at toukaisbetterthanyou and we put them in their place since they began by replying on one of ours postd. The betterthanyourmalefaves blog is a parody someone started (no idea who) in order to satire the ideas antis posit on female characters which I think is clear from the description but people take it seriously and claim we are after HK shippers since they stalk the touka blog. We dislike antis. Not HK shipper

I’ll answer this publicly so my followers who saw the last couple posts about this can have some context about the situation.

I get that the blog is satire and it doesn’t seem like they’re going to make any posts (or if they do, I trust that they won’t be bothering anyone personally) but if I’m going to be entirely honest, I think the blog is kind of immature and seems like something that has the potential to cause more drama (especially since it was essentially born from drama).

In fact, it seems like it already has drama surrounding it, so regardless of whether or not it is satire, I’d prefer to stay out of it. Obviously it doesn’t seem like they’ve bothered anyone or even made any posts so I in no way condone people accusing them of harassment, but I still feel that the premise of the blog itself has the potential to cause problems so I’d say it’s fine for people to block it if they feel that it’s something they want to distance themselves from.

As for the issue concerning antis, I agree this arbitrary divide between tou//ken and hide//kane shippers is nothing more than something constructed by antis who seem to harass both parties in question. I myself, as a hide//kane shipper, have had some serious trouble from anti-tou//kens (including hate messages, false accusations and attempts at getting a rise out of me that I’ve thankfully managed to keep private), so it’s clear at this point that they just want to pit us against each other. They seem to be the catalysts of this drama so I think hide//kane and tou//ken fans should stop seeing eachother as the enemy because that’s just the kind of thing that antis want to perpetuate.

They think it’s entertaining to see us at each other’s throats, so we should just ignore their efforts, for all our sakes.

like do they realize they are bullying people. Do they realize they are way more problematic than any piece of fiction could ever be. They are literally harming people over what they think is right-- they’re like the fandom version of the Westboro Baptist Church
