What Fang-man is is hard to place

Largely his biology is very similar to Whiplash’s kind, but lacks their armor.

He shows some sign of possible Snake Man style genetic tinkering, yet no venomous abilities (though not all Snake Men are venomous...)

He has a similar magical signature to Beast Man and the same animal controlling abilities, and possibly his odd biological nature comes from being a member of a reptilian race altered by the same magical force Beast Man was from more humanoid stock. 

Whatever the case, like many “weirdos” he has found a purpose serving Skeletor.
