Fangs Fogarty prompt 1 ‘‘It’s no diamonds but I hope you like it.”
46: “It’s no diamonds but I hope you like it.”
fangs did his best to give you what you deserved. he worked and worked, and even sold fizzle rocks on the side to help with his mom and to help with you.
he would come home late, and you’d be scared that he was up to something that wasn’t very good. it was consistent. he would come home, drained, and he wouldn’t speak to you. he would kiss you, take a shower, eat and then go to bed. he would talk to you the next day, like nothing happened the night before.
fangs wanted to keep it a secret that he was buying you a gift, a special one at that, and he was working so damn hard to buy. it was something you had your eye on, but never hold fangs because it was expensive.
but his plans came crashing down when him mom needed extra help, and he gave all your valentine’s day money to her and her treatment. he felt terrible, but his mom always case first, and you knew that 100%.
valentine’s day rolled around and fangs felt guilty the whole day. during school, he didn’t speak to you and couldn’t look your way without wanting to cry. he said to you a quiet happy valentine’s day and kissed you, but felt as if he didn’t deserve your love and affection.
you two got to the trailer, and fangs sat on the couch. you went into your room and changed into comfier clothes, coming out and seeing his shoulders shaking. “fangs?” he sniffled, wiping his cheeks and looking at you. you kneel on the ground in front of him, resting your hands on his thighs. “what’s the matter, baby? talk to me. you’ve been acting weird lately and its been scaring me”
he took a deep breath and held your face, you leaning your cheek into his touch. “you know how my mom is sick. so over the past couple of months, i’ve been working late, selling things to get money to buy you a present. but mom got worse, and i had to use it for her treatment. so..” he sniffled and pulled out a box from his backpack. “it’s no diamonds but i hope you like it”
you open the box and gasp, tears stinging your eyes. “oh fangs..” you take the necklace out of the box, setting the box to the side. you place the locket in your hand, opening it to a picture of you, fangs, sweet pea and toni at the wyrm, and the main side had a picture of you and fangs kissing in it. on the front of the locket was a rose, and the back had a snake. “fangs this is so much better than the diamonds. but you didn’t have to work hard to get me diamonds. i don’t even want diamonds, because you’re my biggest gem of all” he smiles and leans down, kissing you passionately.
“i love you so much, you have no idea, yn yln” he breathed and you smiled, slipping the necklace on.
“oh i’m pretty sure i love you more but okay. let’s just chill all day. do nothing. how does that sound?” you ask and fangs has already slipped off his shoes. “i’ll take that as a yes”
“I saw you were looking for prompts and since Fangs owns my 💙, here I am!!! I had this idea for a fic where Jughead's twin sister is secretly dating Fangs because she thinks FP won't approve. Then she & Fangs have kind of a "Rewrite the Stars" conversation (if that makes any sense) and she runs out, but she leaves her phone or something. He brings it to her trailer and when she answers the door, he holds it above her head saying he won't give it back until she kisses him. She hesitates bc Jughead and FP are in the kitchen, but eventually relents. While they're kissing, FP and Jug walk in and she starts trying to explain, but FP is like, "Relax, did you really think I didn't know? A. I'm your dad and B. I'm the Serpent king." That got really specific and you don't have to do it exactly like that, but if you wanna use any or all of that, you're welcome to it“
A/N: I tried to stick pretty close to the request with this one because I loved it, so thank you to @thecaptainsgingersnap for sending such an amazing request! (And I hope I did it justice).

You lay your head back on Fangs’ shoulder, curled up under his arm on his couch. You two had spent twenty minutes picking a movie to watch, which you both stopped paying attention to faster than it had taken to pick it out, choosing to talk instead.
“When are we going to stop hiding this?” Fangs asks suddenly and your breath hitches in your throat, heart racing. You and Fangs had been dating for a few months now but had been hiding it from everyone. You hated having this conversation and Fangs seemed to insist on bringing it up on a weekly basis.
Sighing you move away from him, sitting sideways on the couch so you could face him. “We’ve been over this, my dad will never let this happen. Not to mention Jughead, who, despite being two minute younger than me, treats me like I’m a child, he would never be okay with it either,” you tell Fangs.
“You must really not see this lasting then, hey?” Fangs comments, reaching over and placing a hand on your leg. You look down at it, contemplating pushing it away because even the briefest moment of affection from him made you want to give in to anything he wanted.
“I didn’t say that,” you whisper.
“We can’t hide this forever, Y/N,” Fangs tells you.
“I don’t to ruin this by telling people. My dad is okay with us hanging out as friends, but he won’t be if he finds out it’s more than that,” you tell Fangs.
“Well I don’t want to do this anymore, Y/N. I’m tired of pretending we’re nothing more than friends when we’re not alone. What do you think your dad is even going to do? Send you away? You’re not even giving us a chance. Are you sure you don’t want to tell anyone because you’re worried about what your dad will do, or is there something else?” Fangs asks, his voice serious and unwavering.
“No,” you state, standing up off the couch, his hand falling away from your thigh, “what does that even mean?”
“Are you ashamed to be in a relationship with me?” Fangs asks, standing up as well, stepping in front of you.
“What?” you ask, exasperated, “no, of course I’m not!”
“Then tell people about us.”
“No,” you state firmly, running your fingers though your hair anxiously, “no, we can’t.”
“Then we’re done,” Fangs’ words were harsh, but you knew they weren’t real. This is how this conversation ended almost every week.
“No, we’re not,” you tell him, rolling your eyes.
“I mean it this time, Y/N. I don’t want to go to school everyday and watch other guys flirt with you, knowing there’s not a goddamn thing I can say or do about it. I don’t want to keep my hands off of you around other people.”
His tone is serious and you feel the prickling of tears in your eyes, “you don’t mean it,” you whisper, your arms crossed over your chest.
“Yes, I do,” Fangs tells you, his own voice lower now as he keeps himself firmly planted a few feet away from you.
The sound of the movie playing seems to get louder as you both stop talking, staring at each other.
“Fine,” you eventually whisper, turning around and hurrying out through the front door, not looking back and letting the door of Fangs’ trailer slam shut behind you.
A couple tears roll down your cheeks as you walk away from Fangs’ trailer, your arms wrapped tightly around your body to protect yourself from the cold. As you reach for your phone you realize it wasn’t in your back pocket like it usually was.
“Shit,” you mutter to yourself, hands tapping over every pocket in your outfit. You turn back in the direction of Fangs’ trailer, standing on the sidewalk weighing your options. You couldn’t remember the last time you had gone any significant amount of time without your phone. But you also couldn’t bear the thought of going back there right now, not with the tears in your eyes, an admission that you were upset about what had just happened. Slowly you turn back around, towards your own trailer, forcing yourself to continue home.
As you approach your trailer you wipe your eyes and face, taking a deep breath so your dad and Jughead wouldn’t notice you were upset. They didn’t know about you and Fangs, you couldn’t walk in there and tell them you were crying because you think you and Fangs may have just broken up.
“I’m home,” you call into the trailer after pushing the door open, seeing your dad and Jughead sitting in the living room watching TV.
“How was studying?” your dad asks, smiling over at you.
“Good,” you reply simply, turning and walking through the trailer to your bedroom, unconsciously reaching for your phone. Of course you couldn’t have forgotten something a little more inconsequential. You lay down on your bed, staring mindlessly at the ceiling, trying to think about anything other than Fangs.
“Y/N,” you hear Jughead yell through the trailer.
“What do you want?” you yell back, not getting off your bed.
“You both have legs, get up, talk to each other and stop yelling,” your dad yells, evoking an eye roll from you at the irony of it.
Rolling off the bed you whip your door open, heading down the small hallway and into the living room.
“What do you want, Jughead?” you ask, freezing when you notice him standing at the door with Fangs.
Fangs raises his hand with your phone in it and you smile hesitantly.
“I thought you were studying with Toni,” you dad comments, sitting on the couch and looking at you with the same smile he had given you earlier when you got home.
“Yeah, I was. We all were, studying together, at Fangs’ place,” you stumble nervously over your words, walking through the living room.
“Yeah, studying for that chemistry test,” Fangs comments, his eyes not leaving yours as he leans casually against the doorframe.
“You’re not in chemistry,” Jughead states, turning his head to look at you.
“No, I’m not, I was just helping them study, you know, quizzing them and stuff,” you say, giving Fangs a look.
Walking across the room you push past Jughead and nudge Fangs out of the doorway. “I actually have a couple questions about that homework,” you tell Fangs, loud enough for Jughead and your dad to hear. You step outside and close the door behind you, holding out your hand for your cellphone.
“You don’t think you’re getting it that easily, do you?” Fangs asks, pulling his hand away as you reach to grab for the phone.
“Just give me my phone, I’m not in the mood for this,” you comment, trying again to reach for it, watching Fangs move his arm up, holding it out of your reach. “Fuck off,” you grumble leaning against the doorframe with your arms folded over your chest.
“Kiss me and I’ll give it back,” Fangs tells you and you give him a look of disapproval.
“My dad and brother are right behind that door, plus, we broke up, don’t you remember that conversation from, like, twenty minutes ago?” you ask quietly.
“I’m not breaking up with you,” Fangs tells you seriously, “I can’t not be with you, Y/N, but I just want to be able to show the world how much I care about you,” Fangs tells you. “I guess you don’t want your phone that bad then,” he adds, slipping your phone into his pocket.
You sigh and shake your head, avoiding his gaze. You wanted that too, to show the world that you were together. But as soon as it wasn’t a secret then you had to deal with the problems that the world brought.
You reach for your phone and Fangs grabs your hand as it gets to his pocket, using it to pull you closer “trying to feel me up, Y/N?” Fangs asks quietly, a smirk on his face.
“Shut up,” you try to say seriously but end up giggling despite your attempts to stay mad at him, “just give me my phone.”
“Just kiss me then,” Fangs retorts and you roll your eyes, leaning up and pressing your lips to his quickly. You had really only meant to kiss him briefly, to get your phone back and then go back inside and deal with this another time. But you find yourself so wrapped up in the moment that you don’t pull back. Fangs reaches into his pocket, taking your phone out and moving his arm around you, sliding the phone into your back pocket without breaking the kiss.
“What the hell?” you hear Jughead exclaim and you pull away from Fangs, his hands not wanting to leave your body until you push his arm away from your waist.
“I-it’s-it’s not-we-it’s,” you stutter, cheeks red and eyes locked on the ground.
You hear your dad chuckle and you peel your eyes away from the crumbling concrete driveway, forcing yourself to look at him.
“You really thought I didn’t know?” your dad asks, leaning against the door frame, arms crossed with a slight smile.
“You knew?” both you and Jughead exclaim at the same time.
“Y/N, I’m your dad, of course I knew. You’re also just a really bad liar,” he tells you.
“You’re not mad?” you ask quietly, glancing up at Fangs for a second.
“I can’t keep you from growing up,” your dad states, turning his focus to Fangs, “but just because you’re a Serpent doesn’t mean I won’t kill you if you hurt her,” he tells him, it coming across as a joke but you can detect a hint of truth in his words. Your dad heads back into the trailer, leaving you and Fangs alone with Jughead.
“Why didn’t I know about this? How long have you two been, wait, are you dating? Are you just hooking-up? Never mind, gross, I don’t want to know that,” Jughead’s words spill out of him at a hundred miles an hour, looking like he had been giving the worlds most shocking news.
“Take a breath, Jug. I’ll tell you about it later,” you tell him, gesturing for him to go back inside.
Once you were alone you turn back to Fangs, looking up at him.
“Well now I feel stupid,” you state, laughing softly. “I really thought he would tell me I can’t see you anymore.”
“So, remember when I told you everything would be fine if we told your dad like three months ago?” Fangs teases you and you shake your head.
“You’re not allowed to spend the rest of our relationship teasing me about this,” you tell him, leaning up and kissing him quickly, “or it’ll be a short relationship,” you joke, lips close to his.
“I can’t make fun of you for it even just a little bit? You made us hide a relationship for three months over absolutely nothing,” Fangs laughs, placing his hands on your waist.
“Fine, you can make a few jokes,” you tell him, giggling as he presses his lips to yours again. For three months you had felt so happy being with Fangs that you hadn’t realized that you could feel even happier with him until now. Standing there with Fangs, knowing that the only people who could cause problems in your relationship were as fine with it as they could be, the happiness was now accompanied by an overwhelming sense of relief.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you liked it!
Plot: It started quietly and slowly. Two weeks of glances in the hallways, brushing hands or shoulders when he walked by leaving you blushing. You weren’t used to attention and suddenly you had caught his. But at the same time you caught the attention of someone with very bad intentions.
Warnings: Mentions of Rape!, Creepy Chuck, Violence, Fluffy Fangs
The glow of the computer screen shined on your face as you edited photos for the blue and gold, “You look so cute when you concentrate.” You looked up surprise, “Excuse me?” Chuck Clayton stood in front of you. He smirked, “How about I take you out sometime?”
As soon as your mind processed it you felt sick, “No.” He rolled his eyes, “Come on babe I know you want to. We’ll even start the fun early. I can bend you over a desk right now.” You quickly picked up your stuff and walked away from him, “No!” He followed you out into the hallway before pushing you towards the wall, trapping you with his arm, a threatening look in his eyes, “I always get what I want.” He placed one of his hands on your thigh sliding it up under the hem of your skirt, “Always. So you might as well just give in now.” His tone scared you, “I said no Chuck! Leave me alone!” Your voice cracked, the panic evident.
He was about to say something else when a loud whistle pulled his attention away. Several Serpents stood a few feet away, “Wow Clayton. I knew you were a douche, but a rapist? That doesn’t surprise me at all.” Fangs shook his head. Chuck laughed, “Stay out of this snake. I’m just having a little... chat with her. Isn’t that right Y/N?” His hand brushed up your leg, resting on your hip.
Fangs walked towards you, “I’m pretty sure she said no.” He caught your gaze, noticing the tears threatening to fall and the fear in your eyes. Chuck didn’t back down though instead he smirked and roughly kissed your cheek, “She can be persuaded.” That was the final straw.
Fangs pushed Chuck towards the Serpents, “You’re about to learn a lesson you’ll never forget. One, don’t ever touch a girl without her permission.” The Serpents looked ready to fight, “Two, if she says no. She means no.” Fangs cracked his knuckles, “Three, you are a disgusting piece of shit.” You heard the click of someone’s knife being opened, “And four, don’t ever touch or look at a Serpents girl. Because the beating you’re about to receive, just might become a murder.”
You had come to learn the Serpents names, they were kind to you since Fangs took an interest. Especially two people, Toni Topaz and Sweet Pea. Which was why it didn’t surprise you that Fangs took the first swing and Sweet Pea took the second, knocking Chuck to the ground where Toni repeatedly kicked him in the stomach. Quickly the others joined in, taking pleasure in his pain.
Fangs approached you slowly, “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” You couldn’t hold back the tears the fell from your eyes, you felt violated. Fangs pulled you into his chest tightly, “It’s okay Y/N, it’s going to be okay. I’m here now and no one is EVER going to touch you again.” He looked you in the eyes, “I promise.”
It was 12:00 am and a thunderstorm was outside. The wind was blowing so hard the branches on the trees were swaying. The rain was beating against the windows and roof of the trailer. The two of you were laying in bed, spooning. Fangs was the big spoon, and you were the little spoon. The two of you had been spending the night silently speaking until you slowly drifted off to sleep. Fangs hand been lightly touching you tracing meaningless patterns. Feeling your soft skin against his rough hands. He was mesmerized by your natural beauty, with your hair lightly sprawled against the pillow. Your breathing was so peaceful and calm, just looking at it calmed him down. To him, you were an angel, a gift from the gods made especially for him. In all honesty, he still has not figured out why he deserves someone as wonderful as you.
Plot: No one really paid attention to you. That is, not until you catch the eyes of a Serpent.
Warnings: Bullying, Fluffy Fangs, Swearing, etc.
You wandered around the library, your fingers grazing over the spines of books left unread through the years. Each book holding wonders and mysteries that no one wanted to read. It was sad, you were the only one who actually enjoyed books. You welcomed the printed words drawing images in your brain, the smell of paper and ink filling your nose, the sound of crisp page turning echoing. It was the only escape from reality you had. It was the only place you could be alone. No being pushed in the hall, no books falling to the floor, no verbal abuse from the many villains of high school. Books were safe, like the dragon protecting the princess from the princes unworthy of her. The loud ring of the bell made you sigh, lunch would soon start and you hadn’t found a new book to read.
A large crowd filled the hallway as students made their way to the cafeteria but stopped at the sound of a door slamming open. You snuck around the of students to observe what was happening. Walking down the hallway in a group was the Southside Serpents, each proudly wearing their signature leather jackets. The hall was completely silent as they approached a few of the Northside students. Betty Cooper was standing in front of them with a clipboard, she cleared her throat, “Welcome to Riverdale.” The tallest of the Serpents looked bored, “Can we skip past the friendly welcoming act and just get our shit.” Her smile dropped, “Sure. We have your schedules on that table.” Jughead Jones walked up to Betty, wrapping his arm around her waist. It was no secret he was part of the Serpents.
No one spoke as they grabbed their schedules. Of course, not until Cheryl Blossom and Reggie Mantal showed up, “If it isn’t my adorable snake girlfriend.” A few Northside students whispered confused at her comment. One of the Serpent girls chuckled and gave Cheryl a quick kiss, “Did you miss me?” Cheryl smiled, “Of course.” At that point the clicks of cameras began, everyone was shocked at the fact that the schools queen bee was not only dating a Serpent but, a female Serpent.
After the inital shock and confusion the crowd grew bored and eventually walked away. Leaving the Serpents and a few Northsiders alone in the hallway. You stayed and watched, having nothing better to do. Betty spoke up first, “So if you guys need anything you can come to me or Veronica and we also have sign up sheets for our clubs hanging up on the wall. Feel free to join, we need some more participants.” A dark chuckle came from the crowd, “Yeah sure. Like you stuck up Northsiders want us around you.”
Your eyes were drawn to the Serpent boy. He was very attractive with dark brown hair and brown eyes. The sound of his voice alone was enough to make your heart beat faster. He rolled his eyes before catching you looking at him from where you stood by the lockers. His lips formed a smirk, the kind of smirk that was teasing and playful, “And who might you be princess?”
You looked around, unsure of if he was really talking to you. It was rare that anyone acknowledged you. Reggie laughed, “That’s the weird loner bitch who hangs out in the library.” The Serpent kept his eyes on me, “Was I talking to you dumbass? No I wasn’t so keep your fucking comments to yourself.” You looked away, hiding the small smile on your face, no one ever talked back to Reggie. You didn’t notice the Serpent walk towards you.
He placed his finger under your chin, making you look up at him, “What’s your name princessa?” You blushed, “Y/N” your voice came out as a whisper. He chuckled, “I’m Fangs. Remember my name because you’ll be seeing me a lot.” The bell interrupted your moment and he was gone just as quickly as he came. Leaving you standing in the hallway flustered and confused.
(WOO PART ONE TELL ME IF I SHOULD MAKE A PART TWO OR JUST LET THIS BE A ONE PART IMAGINE!)
first gif: you sat in the lounge with your friends, finishing the homework you forgot to do, due to the surprise visit of fangs last night.
“arch, do you know how to do this problem? i’m stuck” you leaned towards him and he took your pencil, explaining the problem. you gave him a smile and thanked him, finishing the problem.
“yn not doing her homework on time? this is one for the books” kevin jokes and you rolled your eyes.
“i got busy doing something” you reply and pushed kevin’s head, making him laugh.
“was fangs the something you were doing?” veronica smirked and you gasped, feeling your cheeks heat up. you look at fangs and he gives you a soft smirk, looking over to veronica.
“yes. yes i was” he smirked and bit into his twizzler.
“oh my god!” you shriek and his your face behind the homework. “you are in for it, fogarty!”
——
second gif: you walked into the dark high school with your hand wrapped around your twin brother’s bicep, dreading every second in the hell hole. you two walk into the cafeteria and notice toni, fangs and sweet pea sitting at a table with other serpents surrounding them.
“so i take it we’re not watching funny cat videos over here?” jughead said sarcastically and sweet pea looked up, licking his lips and turning the laptop towards you two. you tried your best to hide your shocked expression, but it was no use.
“shit, jug, that’s our dumbass friend” you whisper and he rolls his eyes. “fogarty here wants to earn his serpent stripes. bring us the head of this northsider, and you’re in” fangs looked at you and smirked.
“i’m in” sweet pea banged on the table and laughed and you slammed your hand down on the table, getting in fangs’s face.
“you think getting archie’s head makes you a serpent?” his smirk dropped, and it traveled to your lips. he was quiet for a moment before smirking again.
After the... incident, a week earlier you were never left alone. Someone was always nearby, usually Fangs and Sweet Pea. They walked you to classes, sat with you at lunch, and even put up with the hours you spent wandering around at the library. You never had to worry about anyone hurting you. It attracted a lot of attention that made you slightly uncomfortable but the dorky Serpent boys always made you feel better.
Fangs sat on the crappy wooden table at the library flipping through an old comic book from the magazine display; while you sat on the floor in front of him looking through pages and pages of your text book, trying to find one word you forgot. You couldn’t concentrate though, your mind was preoccupied with the boy sitting in front of you, “Hey Fangs?” He looked up, smiling, “Yes doll?”
You swallowed your anxiety, “Why do you do all this? Follow me, protect me, spend time with me, why?” He chuckled, “Come here.” You cocked your brow at him and stood up. When you were in reach he pulled you to stand between his legs. Even sitting on a desk he was still taller than you, “You don’t see what I do. I see a princess who cares more about others than she does herself. I see a dreamer who can spend hours talking about a random book she read when she was 7. I see a girl who makes my heart beat faster and my mind race. Just seeing you that first day, it was like seeing a fucking angel standing in hell. It’s crazy but love at first sight is definatley real.”
You had no words, so you did the next best thing. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down before gently pressing your lips against his. There was no force, no roughness, just passion. It definatley was the best first kiss ever.
fangs being soft and saying i love you for the first time
okay but when is he NOT soft around you? even something that smells remotely like you he gets all smiley. he sees you and he can’t stop touching you and kissing you.
the first time he wanted to tell you he loved you was the day he was nervous as hell. you couldn’t tell but his friends could.
“what’s got you uptight?” sweet pea hit his friend on the shoulder and fangs rubbed his palms together.
“i’m gonna tell y/n i love her, but i’m nervous. like.. is it too soon?”
“you two have been dating for almost a year, fangs, and you haven’t said it yet?” toni said and he nodded. “i don’t think you should be nervous. it’s about time”
he walked into the trailer to you dancing and cooking in the kitchen, using the spatula as a microphone. you spun around and grabbed his hand and he spun you around, dancing to “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” by Selena. you two did the salsa in the kitchen, ending with fangs dipping you and giving you a kiss.
he stood you back up and gave you a long kiss, you going back over to the stove. fangs came up from behind you and placed his hands on your waist under your shirt, his cold hands on your warm skin. his lips kissed the back of your ear, trailing down to your shoulder. “go sit down, lover boy, i got dinner ready” your bumped your butt back and he groaned, biting his lip and sitting at the table. you placed the meal in front of fangs then sat down next to him, fangs taking a slow bite of his pasta. “something wrong?”
“i have to tell you something” fangs put down his fork and licked his lips. you reached over and held his hand, looking at him. he let out a long sigh and looked at you, the corner of his lips curling up softly. “i love you”
you smile widely and straddle his lap, holding his face. “i love you more, fangs” he held your hips and you kissed him, rocking your hips softly. “screw the dinner, screw me instead” you said and he laughed.
