Lost Time- Sweet Pea
Prompt: Could you write me a riverdale imagine where the reader and sweet pea are complete opposites (she’s a total gooorthie) and she starts hanging out with Cheryl and Toni and becomes a badass to get him to notice her more?? Thanks so much, even if you don’t do it!! @thevortexclubposse
A/N: my dude I’m so sorry that this took so long!! I hope you like it I haven’t done a request in literally forever lol. Feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated :)
Ever since Cheryl started dating Toni, you noticed differences in her. She didn’t regard the southside with such disdain, and actually began to like the serpents. You appreciated the changes you’d seen in your best friend, but you only hoped Toni might rub off a little more on you too. Ever since the Southside High students had transferred to Riverdale, you eye had immediately been caught by a tall and mysterious serpent. All his friends called him Sweet Pea, but you’d never had the pleasure of even speaking with him. Luckily, as Cheryl and Toni grew closer, you and Toni did too, and you had a plan up your sleeves.
“Toni!” you exclaimed, running after her down the hall.
“What’s up?” she asked you, slowing her pace slightly so you could catch up.
“I have a big favor to ask you. I kinda have a crush on one of the serpents-“
“Sweet pea?” she asked earnestly. Your eyes got wide.
“How did you know?” you exclaimed in a whisper. She chuckled under her breath as she smiled.
“You’re pretty obvious about it, you know. Don’t worry, Sweet Pea has no idea. He’s a boy,” she said rolling her eyes. You laughed nervously, relieved he didn’t know but your mind still reeling at how obvious you had been. “So what’s the favor?”
“Well, I don’t really think I’m his type, you know? He doesn’t even know who I am, and I want to get his attention somehow. I was wondering if you had any ideas?” Toni’s lips stretched into a sly smile.
“I actually might.”

“Are you sure it’s not like, too tight?” you asked uncertainly, trying and failing to get the skin-tight black leather skirt to stretch in any way around your hips.
“Is that a joke? If Toni wasn’t standing here right now, I would’ve pounced on you myself,” Cheryl joked, earning an elbow to the rib from Toni.
“You look amazing, seriously. No one’s ever going to expect this from you. They might not even recognize you.”
“No one is going to recognize me at the Wyrm, I’ve never even been there before,” you retaliated.
“Well looking how you do now, Sweet Pea won’t be the only one to notice.”
Toni insisted you ride her motorcycle with her to the Wyrm. She said it was part of the “badass experience.” You did have to admit the adrenaline rush gave you an extra burst of confidence as you walked through the front doors of the Wyrm, however it was uncertain if the wind had improved or ruined your hair. Judging by the looks you received upon walking in, you weren’t too concerned about it. You smirked slightly as you walked alongside Toni and Cheryl over to the pool table where Sweet Pea stood, along with Fangs and some of the other serpents. Sweet Pea’s reaction to your new appearance was better than you could’ve asked for. His eyes widened, just long enough for you to notice before he resumed his previous expression. Toni introduced the two of you.
“I know who you are, you’re always hanging with Toni and Cheryl. The really smart one, right?” You blushed slightly at the realization that he did, in fact, know who you are. You wanted to try to maintain your confident demeanor just a little longer, though.
“Yeah, and I know who you are. The tall, handsome serpent I wish Toni had introduced me to sooner.” His eyebrows raised, and he licked his lips slightly. You smirked a little leaning back on the pool table. He stepped closer to you, a mischievous smile adorning his plump lips.
“Well let me get you a drink then and we’ll start making up for lost time.”
