Your kaachako/reylo post is my favorite thing. A manipulative asshole who gets wubbified by 90% of the fandom being given a "redemption" arc (even though he would be MUCH more interesting as a villain) and being shipped with a perfect precious woman who he treats like shit even though there's a canon love interest who treats her with respect. It lines up almost scarily well.

How gay is the death note TV drama

Short answer: Very

Long, boring, convoluted answer: The DN drama did manage to rekindle my love for Lawlight so in that sense the shippy vibes are very strong. I don’t want to spoil things if you haven’t seen it already (and I definitely think you should watch it) but there is a scene that feels like the dialogue was taken right out of a lawlight fan fiction. There’s another where they literally shower together. 

However, I wouldn’t call it gay because it isn’t. Jokingly I’d say so, but it should never be taken seriously. There’s no relationship and there never will be. DN isn’t a love story and if it was it’d be a pretty shitty one. But, that doesn’t mean there aren’t parts in the drama that made me squint my eyes and have a thousand fic ideas rush through my head at once.

Honest opinion: I literally could not hold it together when I met you and it's crazy to think that I'm actually sort of friends with one of my favorite fic writers of all time???? And she's betaing my fic?????????? And I'm going to have a heard attack?????????????? Anyway you're super sweet and funny and an unbelievable writer and it's always a joy to run into you at cons.
