Another quick sketch I did, this time for 2002. Since 2002 has significantly less detail than 2001, I felt I was able to experiment a bit more with my technique and whatnot. Theyre a surprisingly fun character to draw, and Im very glad that we got a non-humanoid character to mess around with for this spotlight!
Im actually a pretty big fan of 2002s design, mostly because Im a huge fan of simplicity. 2002, while not being a very detailed character, has a lot of interesting aspects about them that make them an interestingly rounded character. I have to say, I really love the way that 2002 is physically detached from themself, which reflects well in 2002s seemingly detached mood. They either seem to be very disinterested in just about everything, or focused too much on one negative thing. Either way, this drives creators to figure out, and in turn create, what this characters story is, which is really important for a Fanpro character in my opinion!
Onto another subject, I have a bit of a story. I can not tell you people enough how proud I am to finally be a part of the Fanpro community, especially like this! For the longest time, Ive been lurking the fandom, but I never thought that I would actually contribute to it, much less like this! 2003 was really a piece of my heart that I threw out there for the first time, and its really inspiring to me, even if just by a little bit, I was able to inspire people with this character, causing a ripple of creativity that just warms my heart to see. Tomorrow, June 30th, is my 18th birthday, and although Im nervous about the future, Im glad to have already accomplished one of my dreams: to touch people who Ive never met with something that I made. Although it might not seem like much to you folks, this has been a really big, revealing part of my life, and this has to be the perfect way to end my pre-adult life. Thank you all for being such a weird, cool, lovely community, and I cant wait to do even more for you guys!
