So long story short DnD was the start of this and still sits as a core theme. Pretty much its a campaign I’m writing but with my ocs as the stand in hero party.
(forgive the rushed scribble)
The plot is that our team of rag tag heroes find themselves in the Plendore region, a large association of allied kingdoms taking up most of the continent of Ellenere. The kingdom they reside in is attacked by cultists that kidnap the princess (gigabyte) and attempt to raise the Radiation Beast Goddess, Zylla, by having Zylla’s soul possess the princess until they can revive her body. The party must travel across the continent to assemble a weapon that can kill this nigh unstoppable force before she reaches peak power and wipes the world clean to start anew.
Circuit is a LG cleric. He takes the traits of an Aasimar, despite being a full angel. He is on the mortal plane to atone for a mistake he made during a recent war between the planes of good and evil.
Surge is a CG Barbarian. He is a crippled lizardfolk that longs for the glory days of battle again. Circuit’s healing grants him relief from the pains in his legs, and allows him to join the party as an active member. He still uses crutches when not in combat.
Fanshi is a CN Barbarian. She is half tiefling, half orc, and rejected by both sides of her heritage. She joined the adventure for the money, and to run from some shady groups she owes money to.
Steve is a N Human Fighter. His village was ravaged by a dragon, leaving him orphaned and missing an eye. One of the kings of plendore unofficially adopted him and took him under his wing. Steve is arrogant and a well known hero. He thinks himself the most fitting hero of the group, and has trouble working with the others until down the line when he is almost killed.
The world is heavily effected by Zylla’s previous reign. Pools of magical radiation infect the countryside, making some spots uninhabitable, except for insane mutants. No one is safe from these chaotic forces, even great dragon corpses can be seen rotting in the midst of a danger zone as mutant animals feast.
I wrote pretty much every genre I thought fun into the varied environments, including bringing lighgens back (and writing them as a playable race) and adding a new race, the Starlings. I still have a lot of work to do, but so far, this setting is really resonating with me!

WIZARD AU
Geir, a light healer and expert broom flyer from the prestigious order of the sun paladins of Heavegh, travels to Emula, a boiling pot of magic and mystery, where he meets an assortment of characters, one of the most prominent being a local half orc bog witch by the name of Fanshi. Spells abound and danger rises as they suspect illegal magic fusion going on beneath the streets.
