what do i say about oz that i haven't ranted and raved about on this blog (or any of my blogs really) before ?? oz is amazing , talented , show stopping - a literary genius. they bring to life any character that they pick up so easily and shamelessly. they embody said characters in ways that i find amazing and admire. oz and i started interacting a couple of years ago now ( through beth i am pretty sure ) and we just clicked tbh and now i will follow them through every single phase and muse that they pick up. i will always adore their star trek muses ( q especially because that is MY omnipotent little shit. and jack of course. ) and will find it in ellie's heart to give guy gardner a booth of his own. i will love them forever and ever and you are stuck with me oz.

"oh... that's not necessary." he already feels like enough of a nuisance, like a problem, needing rescued because of a blown tire. jesse can't help but admonish himself in the tone of his father, berating himself for always putting off getting a spare: what kinda moron goes into the desert unprepared? sucking his teeth, jesse grips the coffee mug tighter, though all its warmth has already leeched out - it's merely comforting to have something to hold. "don't wanna impose, sir," he says with a sheepish smile. "i got some campin' gear in my car. ain't a stranger to roughin' it."

john & addy: i'll play the role i've been given.

"that's disappointing." she's efficient in the way she prepares him a drink — no question about what he's having, no need to look down at the bottles she's picking up and pouring into a glass. the glass gets slid to john with no preamble of needing to be paid. on the house, as usual.

for all his intricacies, and all of the mystery shrouding him, john remains, after all of these years, a relatively simple man at the end of the day. he, addy thinks, is just a man with a highly specialized skillset and a sheer force of will unlike any other. "you're too good to be letting anyone that's not you tell you who you're gonna be."

as omens go, it doesn't get much more obvious than that. @fantasms, joshua + ransom.

"incredibly observative, aren't you." though delivered dryly, ransom almost smiles, the corner of his mouth lifting just slightly before returning to his usual impassive state, examining the house before them emotionlessly: dilapidated and ruinous, an almost cartoonishly stereotypical silhouette against the reddening sky. glancing to joshua, ransom arches a brow, then says conversationally: "it could be worse. at least there's no cemetery in the front yard."
