I read the savage song by Victoria Schwab. This book really intrigued me, the Idea that every time something horrific happens or someone is killed the cosmic shift happens which produces monsters.
One one side we have Callam Harker who offers protection to everyone who is willing to pay for it. On the other side we have Hendry Flynn who is wants people to fight for it.
The story follows Kate Harker. the daughter of Callam Harker. She desperately wants his approval and wants to prove that she can be as ruthless as her father. Whereas August Flynn the adoptive son of Hendry Flynn, is a sunai also known as a soul-eaters but all he wants is to be human.
There worlds collide when Kate gets kicked out of the sixth bording school and August jumps on the chance to spy on her. He finds out that she is nothing like her father despite what she wants people to believe. They join forces after an attempt on Kate's life by her father's second in command.
