So, this strip was a fun way to resolve the issue of folding Rick, Heidi’s son and by default, my step-son into the strip. He HAS been living with us for over a year and I REALLY didn’t want to draw a series of strips EXPLAINING how that all happened. It just seemed really boring, so I’ve avoided it. However, he DOES inspire gag ideas on the daily and he’s one of the few people I can mock in the strip that says he’s cool with it. Therefore, this seemed like a fun way to crack the 4th wall a smidge and fold him in: He’s already here.
