I don't think I ever shared these tow in here and I really want to so here it goes

This is Levi and Will, they have like, one of the better developed stories form my ocs since I usually have way too many ideas that end up being a mess lol yet these two somehow ended up with something comprehensive despite the fact I have like, no actual story written down

no joke the idea of how this whole thing exists was just "hey I wanna make an op character and also make it gay"

Long, long time ago, it was said that the Gods gave blessings to humans, allowing them to use some of the power that they themselves had. Thus certain humans were born with a degree of magic within them, and once they had children, they had a chance of possessing the same abilities. Due to that, people who weren’t gifted grew jealous. The 5 Kingdoms slowly but surely banned the magic users from their lands, killing or exiling them from their society. The ones who survived gathered together, eventually forming a new Kingdom themselves. A Kingdom for magic users to thrive. But even this was not enough. The 5 Kingdoms once again gathered and decided to eliminate the 6th Kingdom, fearing them growing strong enough to do the same to them. They attacked with full force, killing the majority of the 6th Kingdom’s population, including their rulers. The small group that once again survived included a child of the king and queen - Levi, who possessed a special ability to absorb power from others. With it he grew stronger than any other magic user, and vowed to protect the Kingdom. Years passed and seeing how the magic users once again survived, the rulers of the 5 Kingdoms decided to invite the young leader of the 6th Kingdom to a meeting so they could discuss plans and hopefully get magic users on their side. But Levi was resentful, he didn’t trust them after they killed his people, his family, so he refused. He set a barrier on the 6th Kingdom, so that no one was ever able to find it again and his people could finally live in peace. And just like that, for another number of years, despite many tries, no one could ever locate the 6th Kingdom. Until one fateful day when a young man stumbled through the gates.

I'd write an actual story if I had motivation and my brain didn't want to jump interests every 5 min

in an rph, I would want to be a side character.

You know, I don't think I ever want to be a protagonist in a game. I would like to be a side character who helps the hero, or just is there as just like a shopkeeper or someone who gives quests.

I mean, like I don't want to do all the work of being an errand boy/girl in real life. I wouldn't mind helping them or just tagging along the protagonist.

Tbh my main reason would be get chosen because it would be nice to be choosen by someone. lol

.. and yet somehow, intuitively I knew that the characters in Shadowhunters: Mortal Tools will show toxic behaviour since in one of the first scenes neither of these main characters thanks the service person, waiter who brings them beverages.

So because The Folk of the Air hit my narrative kinks without mercy, and editing is tapping me out, I decided to try to read Shadow and Bone (I thought maybe I could pick up a new fandom? What would that be like, even?), and A Court of Thorns and Roses and...nah.

Shadow and Bone I didn’t find that engaging, sadly enough. Alina just doesn’t move me. Maybe she’s not angry enough. She’s probably not angry enough. I do like the worldbuilding, but it just wasn’t enough without some feral lady character with her claws out. I’m a fangirl of very narrow tastes.

That said:

“If he gets that collar, he really will own me. Completely. And he’ll turn me into a monster. Please, Mal. I need to know you won’t let that happen to me.”

“How can you ask me to do this?”

“Who else could I ask?”

He looked at me, his face full of desperation and anger and something else I couldn’t read. Finally, he nodded once.

“Promise me, Mal.” His mouth set in a grim line, and a muscle twitched in his jaw. I hated doing this to him, but I had to be sure. “Promise me.”

“I promise,” he said hoarsely.

I breathed a long sigh, feeling relief flood through me. I leaned forward, resting my forehead against his, closing my eyes. “Thank you.”

Why was it so hard to write something like this in TLC? CLEARLY a no brainer as Bardugo shows, but alas. 

And in love and other indoor sports, A Court of Thorns and Roses came highly reccomended and yet 

I...am really not into any iteration of “dueling tongues,” sorry (lol the death dance of tongues, I’m sorry, that shit’s hilarious). Nor the beauty and the beast retelling (though I remember LOVING McKinnley’s Beauty when I was a young’un, but these days I’m more fond of Sleeping Beauty. Don’t nobody recommend Rice’s retelling bc so much of that is not my thing. I’m a freak, I know just, like, not THAT particular kind of freak). 

To be fair, I knew I wasn’t going to be that into Maas, I remember trying out her Throne of Glass for the assassin thing and coming out :/  To be fair, I really really like the Bel Dame trilogy and it’s hard for me to like assassin stuff when that’s the brutal gold standard.
