The forest parts and the sword glows. Do you take it or leave it be?
Faith, a sword belonging to Archking Lothair II, featuring his personal crest on the crossguard. The quillons feature Eyes of Lyr. The grip is decorated with a representation of St Edrienne of Effrene, of the Order of the Silver Chalice. Made of Brightbrass. The crest is the personal arms of Archking Lothair - a three-legged Leolinian Lion holding the Chalice of St Edrienne.
A nameless ancient Netherin sword belonging to El-Ithaïa Euraïðenyth, given to her by her father, Utal-Shar Yr Neth Llamyr. Constructed of Netherin gold, a skull has been embedded in its clear-metal blade.
Penance, another sword belonging to Archking Lothair II, also known as the Blessed. It features lily decorations and more Eyes of Lyr along with the crest of his house: a Leolinian lion holding the Sword of King St Lothander
The Hand of Yare: given to El-Ithaǐa Euraǐðenyth by Yare Ninetheth (King of Kings). The crystal hand on the pommel is the symbol of both Yare Ninetheth and the Guardians of the Bluestone Desert. The blade is made of bluestone and never requires sharpening and occasionally acts independently of its wielder…
Day 17: Glass! One day late. Favored this over doing Jester to try and learn a bit about glass!
As seen on the timelapse I was struggling a bit to figure out how to go about it hahaha
I had a bunch of cool references that I figured out I couldn't understand well enough yet to put to effective use. I'll probably be drawing a bunch of glass slag chunks at some point lol!
Not OC related but I've been learning new things and trying a way more realistic style and I'm so impressed omg.
Finished fantasy weapon commission! Twin swords - Mirage (fire) and Frost (ice), both belonging to a storm sorcerer character. It was such a pleasure working on these!

Which melee weapon has the most rancid vibes? Edged weapon or not.
Without a doubt, to me? It's fantasy "scimitars"
For those who don't know, scimitar is a word used by Europeans to describe evil, malicious, middle eastern, one handed curved swords, as opposed to sabers, which were good, christian, european one-handed curved swords. The word comes from the Persian Shamshīr, and has been used for a long time to denote the sinister, evil blades used by evil armies and monstrous hordes, and to use the term in that context radiates severe Hitler particles.
It's 2026- you should know better than to use a European bastardization of a Persian term as the shorthand for "evil sword"
