So originally I was just going to paint a normal sea turtle, but as I was working on it I saw the turtle with this color combination, and decided to go for more of a fantasy turtle look.  

This was really fun to work on, and I love the way that it turned out.  I really love this.

Swamp Tortoise - I imagine this one to be the cousin of the larger ocean turtle shown in my piece “Goodnight Turtle”. It’s a bit more humble in size, but it’s still bigger than a man. I really like how this one turned out
