Okay, so I like to talk about races of my fantasy world (Day 6 of Tumblr)

I want to talk to you about my world in some details. I’m sorry if some things sound weird. I’m a little new to worldbuilding.

So. let’s start with basics: in my world there are four main races: humans, dragons, beasts, and cats. Each race has it’s own ups, and downs. It’s own culture and history. I will tell you about one of them... but which one?

Because everyone knows everything about humans, I won’t even bother with them. I would also like to talk about dragons some diffrent time, because I want to talk A LOT about them, and I’m not sure if anybody is even reading this (maybe I do this as special when I have 10 followers? Haha...)

Anyway, I think at the start we should talk about Cats. Though, before I can say anything more about them I like to thank my friend @nekomura-chi for inspiring my to create the Cats. Thank you.

SO LET’S START THIS ALREADY AND TALK ABOUT CATS

BIOLOGY!

Cats are... well, cats. Anthropomorphic cats. By that I mean they can talk, walk on two feet, and also wear clothes. Well, normally they were clothes.

They can be around the same height as humans. Sometimes they are a little smaller, sometimes they might be bigger, it really depends. 

Like normal Cats they have tails and fur. Fur can really differ from Cat to Cat. One could have really, really long, white, fluffy fur, another one could have black short fur, some other could even look like a tiger. It mostly depends on the fur of the parents, like hair in humans. Some Cats could even have manes like lions, although this is very, very rare (But they can look really good).

Probably the most important feature of Cats, is their eyes. They can have several diffrent colors. I will tell you why they are so important in a while, but first...

BEHAVIOUR

Of course, not all cats behave exacly the same, all the time, always. Nobody is like this, there are always exceptions, but I wanted to tell about how MOST Cats behave. 

The most common (and true) stereotype of Cats is that they are friendly and nice. They usually don’t care much about fighting, or anything besides food, and pretty and/or shiny things. They prefer to stay in nice, calm places they know, instead of going on adventure to some far, unkown land.

CULTURE

Cats mostly live in small villages, in close-knit communities. They are pretty close to each other. They can be pretty welcoming to strangers, but most of the time they value their neighbors and family much more.

In such communities there exists a  hierarchy, based on the color of Cat’s eyes. The high ranking individuals are leaders, and rule pretty much everyone on their teritory, no matter if it’s one of their own, or a complete stranger who got here just by accident. They don’t have absolute power, but can act like they have it. Meanwhile, the lower ranking Cats are mostly assigned to jobs no one else wants to do, like taking care of something dangerous. Others mostly look down on them, but some see them as very unfortunate.

Though, the most unlucky Cats are those who are blind, either because their were born without eyes, or lost them in some kind of accident. The ones born blind, are on the lowest part of the hierarchy, while the ones who lost their eyes are a little bit higher. Loosing both eyes is a very big deal in Cat society. It’s bigger deal than in other societies, because if a Cat wanted to move out to some other place, where nobody knows them, they would be treated as the lowest of low, because nobody could prove what color their eyes were.

Anyway, that is not everything about Cats. Just some thing I wanted to tell you first. In future I will probably tell you much more, but for now I hope you happy!

Races Lore:

Werewolf: Humans that can turn into wolves; naturally they have wolf ears and a tail when they don’t want to look human or wolfish. In Dysta they are mostly used for physical labor by O’khassians .

Meif’wa: Humans with cat ears and a tail. From the Tu’la Region and migrated to Ru’aun. Think of a Neko. In Dysta they are mostly used for domestic, household labor by O’khassians.

Daeconic: Humans with some sort of antler/horn, dragon like tails and wings. Wings can be feathered or reptilian. Must have a feather crest coming from their head though size doesn't matter. Can travel between realms on certain nights when certain stars are aligned. They’re magick is based of stars/planets alignments and the moon’s phase. They are most potent on new moon nights [when the stars shine brightest]. Their culture is a mix of traditional Japan and classical Rome. They’re names rarely pass two syllables. None of found in Dysta except for the few that travel there. In Higi they are rare dude to the Shadow Knights wiping most of them out.

Human: Standard Hoomans.

Sensitive/Magick User: Magic Hoomans/Werewolves/Meifwa. They have special abilities. In Dysta they are mostly killed off by O’khassians.
