Part of Jay is questioning himself. Why he's staying, what makes him interested in this kind of thing. Vulnerability was easy to prey on, disect, take advantage of. Would he do that tonight.

She's settling sweetly against him, and Jay's surprised by it. There wasn't any doubt that this was out of the norm for her. That interested him greatly, but he keeps his thoughts to himself for now. It takes a few minutes before Jay speaks up again.

"So...why?"

There's a quiet hum from Jay. It was a request he didn't love, but has heard more than once in his life.

Phantom laid there, moonlight shining on her pale skin and white hair, making her look ethereal. It was a beautiful sight, even Jay could admit that much. She looked almost desperate for him to stay.

"Please," she takes a deep breath. "Just this once."

Jay slides back into bed, holding her by the chin and kissing her cheek.

"Just this once, but I have to ask. What's got you worked up?"

She looks outside, over the city lights from the hotel room that she had been booked for.

"I don't...want to talk about it. Just...bad anniversaries, that's all. I don't..." She takes a long pause, not looking at Jay. "I...don't want to be alone, is all."

There's an unreadable expression on Jay's face, as he stares Phantom down, before wrapping his arms around her.

"Only because I feel bad for you, will I stay like this."

It was nice for Willow to experience Phantom like this. A little more vulnerable, a little more of her guard let down. It was relieving, even, in a sense. Her face scrunches up in a smile at the kiss, interrupting her train of thought as she plants a big kiss on the side of Phantom's cheek.

"You're being a sweetie today!" She teases gently, nuzzling their forheads together. "I know...stuff has been hard lately, but thanks for sticking it out with me. It's nicer to do stuff with someone, even if it's dealing with a buncha jerks."

Kiss the receiver while snuggled up by a fireplace / campfire.

Willow watches the fire crackling, before turning and kissing Phantom. It was a weird place to be, some kinda glamping set up that a bunch of them and their coworkers went to. Willow had been surprised that Phantom agreed to come along when she had asked, but was glad they did. They were rather reclusive, especially with whatever had been on going between the Death Riders and them. So Willow couldn't be more delighted when her partner agreed to take a little break, a little vacation in a sense. Everyone else had returned to their cabins, so the two of them had a nice.

She gives them another kiss. "Isn't this nice?"

Thekla scoffs at the remark. Her? "Acting brave?" She mocks Phantom for a moment, mimicking her accent. "I don't act brave. I don't need to be brave, because there's nothing I'm scared of, got it?"

She takes another drag off her cigarette. There wasn't any malice behind her voice when she spoke. Rather, she was forward and preferred being forward. There was a hint of confusion on her face, not knowing exactly what Phantom was referring to. Statlander? Statlander was a joke.
