I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Naruto would have been a much more interesting series if Sakura became hokage instead of Naruto.

it’s less interesting and more what should have happened

Naruto only wanted to be hogake to earn the village’s respect and love, and he already did that after beating Pein

Sakura actually worked with a hokage for years and knew what it would entail. she was the most qualified to do it, and canonically Tsunade’s protoge

Naruto is just... a mess when it comes to writing. that’s why there are so many ‘fix-it’ fics of it, because, aside from most of part 1, the series just.... could have been done so much better than what we had. there was so much potential. so many characters who were wasted, so many stories that were pushed aside, so many plots that made no sense and came out of no where....
