This week's @fareshareuk haul included fresh pasta sheets and celery. So I made a huge lasagna. The celery went into the lentil ragu and I threw some kale in the white sauce. Aquired some paneer from @fareshareuk this week so make Saag Paneer. My understanding is that saag just means green leaf vegetable and its just that spinach was the most accessible to Indian immigrants when they came to Britain, so convention became that it was made with spinach here. As I had some kale left over, I made it with that. Five cheese mac and cheese. The cheeses (parmesan, gruyere, mozzarella, cheddar and red leicester), milk and butter for the sauce, and sweet peppers all came from FareShare and would have otherwise been food waste. #fareshareuk #fareshare #macandcheese

With the exception of the onions, all the vegetables (potatoes, swede, green beans and apples) in my cider stew all came from #fareshareuk and would have otherwise been food waste. Thyme and bay leaves perfectly compliment the cider in the stock and pearl barley makes it thick and filling. #stew #cider #fareshare #foodwaste #veggiestew
