watching the sun rise on the last day of ramadan was a bittersweet moment. knowing you won’t be spending the majority of the night standing in prayer, rushing to get the best spot in the musalah after the pre-tahajud halaqaat. rushing after witr to grab something to eat for suhoor before you are out of time. laughing with the masjid gang you haven’t seen in ages. there is something quite subtle about the beauty of ramadan that goes far beyond the scope of just fasting, and watching that sunrise made me realize a lot of these moments won’t be shared for another year. may allah allow us to reach it.
