Fun chicken fact: farmers give their hens these protective vests to prevent feather damage from aggresive roosters. The mating can get a litttttttle rough, and if she starts to get sores on her back the flock will start to peck at them. Chickens are canibals! In fact, there are anti-canibal creams that you can apply to your birdies. We're using these cute vest/shirt things as we prefer to abstain from chemicals when possible. She's a beauty, no?
