Talula Hill Farm Resort New Year Getaway
To celebrate the start of a new year of adventures for my family in 2024, we embark on a road trip to Talula Hill Farm Resort situated in Kluang, Johor Bahru.
The resort is built with the vision of striking a balance between hospitality and farming, supporting and embracing a simple holistic life: "a place where people of all ages come to work with the soil and the land", "dedicate time to share, learn and practice natural farming to return to the principles of nature where fruits & vegetables are enabled to flourish in a self-maintained environment".
The resort has a restaurant and cafe that practices farm-to-table, using fresh produce from the farm to create a wide variety of beverages and dishes. I would recommend visiting the restaurant and sitting outdoors to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire estate. Some of the dishes that I sampled during my stay includes Banoffee Waffles, Mushroom Spaghetti Aglio Olio, and Cajun Chicken.
The rooms are decorated in a rustic style with minimalistic furnishings and amenities that are adequate for short getaways. There are a couple of room styles to choose from, ranging from two bedders to lofts for large families. For those travelling with babies, you can request for a baby crib for the little ones to get their own private space.
The farmstead provides several activities for its guests to get up close and personal with Mother Nature, which includes animal feeding, pond fishing, swimming in the Grotto, farming, and pottery. For those that prefer to sit back and relax, there is a well equipped lounge room for guests to play all kinds of board and card games.
Overall, my family enjoyed our short getaway at Talula Hill Farm Resort. We will always remember the warm hospitality that we received during our stay, and the precious time that we spent together to herald a new year filled with exciting adventures!
