Something about how Farouk wants to be anything but what he is, how he surrounds himself in an oriental fairytale from childhood (which is exactly that, an oriental fairytale) which is completely at odds with the reality of him. He looks nothing like the illusions he drowns in, and everything like the cold, numbing reality of the outside. He's so dangerous to those around him, but it's almost unconscious—no, it's more like childishness, an immature family spirit who's thus far failed to stand up to the story that's been written for him—a cold that doesn't creep into bodies with the intention of killing, but simply as a side effect of what they are.
Learning that Farouk offers empty boxes to Artemis when they were young and realising that the box Thorn offers to her when he came on Anima is obviously empty too
