Pearls are not oft combined with neckties and so no etiquette guide can advise if it should go over, under, around through … or neither! More research required.

My mind played tricks on me or I didn’t payed too much attention....?

Ok this is a silly thing, but I wanted to mention it anyway.

When the official trailer for 2019 Dumbo came out I was super excited, I think I’ve watched it 100 times. And on those 100 times I noticed something kind of funny and weird.

Or at least, it was weird in the first time when I watched the trailer and then it made sence later when I saw the film. But here’s the thing: remember in the trailer when VA is walking outside the Medici Circus with Max to convince him to join him? Here’s the image for the ones who don’t recall:

Well, for me, in the first seconds when I saw VA in that shot, I didn’t knew it was him, or maybe I did knew but I have no idea he was the villain and the guy who was talking off-screen. Honestly, from the way he was walking, the light on him, the fact he was using a cane, the way he was leaning on Max’s shoulders, I really thought it was just some random sick old man.

And that wasn’t just it, I’ve also thought that what Vandevere was wearing in that shot were pajamas! .

I’m not even joking! I really thought that he was wearing some grey striped pajamas.

I don’t know if it was the style of the suit, the color or on how loosed the fabric of the outfit looked.

Anyway, after watching the movie I found out it was grey vertical striped matched vest and trousers and it was the jacket the only thing on his clothing that was different colored, which was black.

Now looking back I just laugh at myself for being so oblivious at such mistake.

However, I still think VA’s outfit does not look that sophisticated in this scene at all, mostly because of the black jacket which doesn’t match the rest. Was he in such a hurry to meet Dumbo that he put on the wrong jacket?

I’m sorry VA, but you look tacky here.
