Despite having all the official tools, I haven't had much success utilizing the Lutterloh pattern system. Even so, I really enjoy looking at all the illustrations...they remind me of my old Barbie books...great potential as both pose + clothing references as well.

My collection includes a couple different publication years, predominantly 1986 (MCMLXXXVI), 1996 (MCMXCVIII), and 2000 (MM). I have a couple dozen scans I'll post over time...I love the art so much.

Historical Fashion References

There’s probably a million of these but these are my personal go to’s so I figured I could put them all in one place (these are all for western fashion and predominantly women’s dresses)

- Fashion History Timeline - A fantastic starting point for learning about the different eras of fashion

- Epochs of Fashion - You have to make a substack account but if fashion and history are your thing, it’s great!

- METs Costume Institute - Great for clothing references, you can sort by year

- Maggie May Fashion & History - Small range of eras but nice overview of fashion for women, men, and children as well as a look at prominent influencing countries

- Fashion-Era - Less for actual photos and way more for just the amount of information

Once you know your era or dates it’s easy to then search more specific instances, such as ‘Victorian Era Foundation Garments’ to get further resources that are tailored to your specific interest
