A/n:  This was difficult not to turn into a 10k monstrocity one shot.  But I will be coming back to this verse for sure.  So maybe one day, I’ll post the 10k monstrocity version.

Darcy hopped off her horse and pulled the scarf from her face.  "How much?“  

Bucky grinned widely as he too, dismounted.  "Enough.” He patted the saddle bag, stuffed full of gold. Neither of them were proud of how they got it, but boy, were they sure glad they did.  

“Tease…” She reached over to playfully shove his shoulder before hitching her horse to the post outside of the place where they were stopping for the night. Some old ghost town out in the middle of nowhere.  From the looks of it, this here building used to be the bar.  

“That so? As I recall, I wasn’t teasing you enough last night…”  Bucky leaned over to kiss her.  She could taste the dirt and the sweat and the gunpowder… It made her stomach swoop with pleasure and she moaned softly into the kiss.

“How much did we get, Buck?”  

He nipped at her lips with his teeth. “I done told you, woman.  Enough.”  

Gripping his lapels, she tugged him closer, kissing him harder as she hopped up on his front.  His hands went immediately to her thighs, gripping tightly as he backed her up against the wall of the building behind her.  "How much is enough?“ she asked, breaking off the kiss to run her fingers through his dusty hair.  "Enough to pay off Rumlow?”  

“More than,” he said with a grin.

“Enough to… buy us a little farm out in California?”  

He nodded.  "More than.“    

"Enough to never have to do this again?” she asked, her tone almost desperate as he captured her lips in a surprisingly tender kiss.  

“More than.”

“I love you, Buck.”  

His next kiss was full of passion and want.  His breath was hot against her face.  "Love you, Darcy.“

I told the vet, “It’s definitely not the year of the dog.”

22. Popular character you hate?

I don’t hate him, but I hate Fandom-Loki. If I’m watching the movies, I enjoy TH and Loki, but I see the comments and things on some posts and people just go too far. He’s not an innocent bubby who needs protection, he’s abusive and at times misogynistic. See: His convo with Nat in A1, and the noncon-mind-[fuck] of Brunnhilde/Valkyrie in Ragnarok. I think of how if the women did either of these things to a fandom fave they’d be unforgiven forever.

23. Unpopular character you love?

I am so, so soft for Ava Starr. I don’t know how unpopular she is, but I haven’t seen a whole lot of posts about/of/for her.

Thank you! I’m pretty sure it’ll be okay. There’s a small break in the skin just before my cuticle. I still have the Mupirocin from when I had to extricate the dogs from under the gate and got my thumbnail bruised/cracked, so I’m medicated, topically.

I’m typing without issue, so there’s nothing terribly awry with the digit. I expect to see some bruising by morning, but nothing much so far. Tiny bit swollen and the points of impact (front and back) are slightly tender.

I’m far better than the moments after it happened when I suddenly decided I couldn’t possibly drive, so @ronins-eyes had to do the chauffeur bit.

Always right before a manicure.

Good  thing it’s not more prevalent, nobody wants to see me flipping them a bird with the equivalent of an olive on the end of my finger.

(Okay doesn’t look like an olive. I’m almost disappointed at that.)
