I'm not much of a starwars fan but I do love how episode 4 proves that 'show don't tell' is just one possible way of writing and is by no means virtuous.

The best example is that the audience are never shown the millenium falcon flying quickly (at least not in the form of a race), we're only told 'fast ship? ... It's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs.'
