Who does not remember trackers
I just got a thought in my head about an application that I played with long time ago. The application was named scream tracker which I used to use to create music. Do you remember Future Crew that created the song unreal and something else don´t remember. It was awesome. I also flirted with Fast Tracker for a while, then I just stopped using trackers to create music. Now I don´t use any applications to create music, and I don´t use any instruments, I just don´t create music any more, but I would like to. Awesome time back then.
GrooveMixer 2014
The new year is started and I have a lot of hopes and plans to improve GrooveMixer in this year.
So what is planned to do?
Everyone wants to see Piano Roll in the GrooveMixer and that's what I want to do first. It will support synth sounds and Fast Tracker instruments (xi-files). I will present synth features later (still working on it).
Accents for drums – it will be possible to control the volume for every note on drum pattern or piano roll.
Sound Effects: echo, distortion, reverb, etc.
I want to redesign user interface. First of all, song sequencer will be redesigned. It will look similar to modern DAW’s like GarageBand.
Recorder to use your voice or guitar as a loop.
Run GM on the new platforms: iOS and PC.
It’s a big job to make all these features, so as always I will do it step by step. Anyway, piano roll has the highest priority.
And to finish, the track from Chikatetsu Beats made in the GrooveMixer:
A few compilations of chiptunes. Lo-fi but beautiful. :) (with download links of xm files)
