Are you having any costume or fun Halloween plans or what does your home country do? :D
Denmark has never really celebrated Halloween.
We have something called Fastalavn though which is similar in some ways. It takes place in the spring and there’s costumes, but it’s definitely a kid holiday. If you see a grown-up in a costume around that time they are going to a kindergarten or something. It’s never been a holiday for grown-ups. And the whole trick or treat is non-existent.
During Fastalavn, we do something called “beat the cat off the barrel”, which sounds violent, but there’s of course no cat in the barrel. It’s kinda like a piñata. So the kids take turns hitting the barrel until it breaks and whatever is in it falls out, and the one who made the first hole is crowned Cat Queen and the one who makes the content spill is crowned Cat King.
The content varies a lot. My mom recorded one of my Fastalavns in my kindergarten and there was popcorn and packs of raisins in that particular barrel. I’m not sure, but today I think it’s probably regular candy they put in xD
With that being said, Denmark is slowly stealing some of the American holidays, like Halloween and Valentine’s day, probably thanks to how international the world has become within the last 50 years. So Halloween has sort of become a thing here too, but not so much that it’s weird if you don’t have any Halloween plans xD
I went to Brooch’s birthday party though about a month ago which was a costume party. So, yeah, not like we never dress up here xD
