Affects of America - Oikawa
Oikawa weight gain
Oikawa in America enjoying fast food cus he doesn’t have a kitchen. He notices he has to go up a pant size and starts ordering salads with his fries and soda instead of burgers, not knowing those are even worse. Even when he goes up another pant size, he keeps trying to pick the healthy stuff. It sounds unappealing though, so he drenches it in dressings and croutons and treats himself for “eating healthy” by getting a milkshake or dessert. His button pops in the middle of mcdonalds. He has to go up two pant sizes. Upset, in a moment of weakness, he orders a ton of the unhealthy food he’s been denying himself and eats through the evening into the early morning. He’s discarded his jeans and pushed the waistband of his underwear below his belly. He must have eaten at least 10000 calories. He rests his hand on his bloated belly and tries to breathe through the pain. Then he crawls to his mattress and takes a restless nap. Several hours later he wakes. His belly is still too bloated for pants but he’s hungry. He slaps on some sweats and goes down the street for a salad drenched in thick dressing… then a burger and fries and milkshake. One last time before he starts his diet.
The next day, he eats healthy and decides at dinner to treat himself. By healthy, he means salads, smoothies, milk, and diet coke. And by treat, he means a burger, large fries, large milkshake and a cookie after his salad. Some days he doesn’t treat himself. Other days he does. He still gains two pounds. Frustrated, he binges again. The next day, he can't motivate himself to have a salad, so he has a large pizza and half a liter of soda. He orders the same the next night and gets frustrated. He orders everything he can think of and decides one final binge, then a serious diet. He doesn’t eat the next day, but the day after that, his belly convinces him to have a slightly smaller binge. Maybe it’d be easier to gradually lessen how much he eats. It might have worked if he bothered to count calories or the amount of food. Instead, he figures he might as well go for the tastiest (and most fattening) burger since he cant have two burgers. Or he sees a sale and figures why not get food from there too. Sometimes he means to save it for the next day, but ends up adding it to that days binge. He switches to sweatpants and buys an extra size up so he won’t be miserable or waste money. The binges grow out of control and his belly does the same. He eats until he’s whining in pain, and still continues if there’s only a bit of food left. After several months, he’s forgotten all about gradually reducing his binges. He doesn’t hold back and it shows on his waistline. Stretch marks cover his belly, back, arms and hips. His belly sags over his waistband and covers half his lap. It’s always making some kind of sound. He barely walks further than his front door and lazes on his mattress watching tv on his laptop while snacking. His apartment is a mess and it smells of his burps and farts. He’s mostly given up on shirts and doesn’t own anymore jeans. A few delivery guys know him by name and one is even nice enough to bring the food inside for him so he doesn’t have to get up. Of course, he’s tipped well for it. Oikawa’s from a rich family and has over two million in his own bank account, so he doesn’t mind paying for the special treatment if it means he doesn’t have to drag himself to the door.
He looks in the mirror and wonders what happened to the thin athlete he used to be.He breathes heavily just walking from a cab, up two flights of stairs, and into his apartment. He drinks two sodas or juice bottles in a couple minutes, then grabs another drink to sip on. He drinks energy drinks to stay awake longer, which makes him want more food. He’s befriended a guy next door who introduced him to weed. Every weekend, they get high together. The munchies are insane. The guy orders or buys a ton of junk food and they binge nonstop for hours. Oikawa lasts longer, but the other guy is developing a small belly. They become good friends and eat together. The guy always convinces him to eat more.
When he gets the flu, he goes to the doctor and finds out he’s gained more than 200 pounds, mostly on his upper body and all fat. He waddles and wheezes to the exam room and sits down. The flu is easy to diagnose. The doctor is more concerned about how much weight he’s gained and how high his blood pressure and sugars are. He interrogates oikawa, lectures him on a healthy diet, warns him of the dangers of obesity, and runs several tests. It does no good.
He goes back a year later for back pain and an infection in his heel because he couldn’t feel the injury. He’s 94 pounds fatter and in much worse shape. He’s been too tired and hungry to do more than eat and sleep and down unhealthy amounts of caffeine. He hasn’t even bothered to buy sweats and a shirt that fits. He did think about starting a diet or exercising more, but he twisted his ankle a few months ago and he didn’t want to diet when a new donut and pastry shop opened up after that. Maybe 7k to 14k of calories from donuts on top of greasy pizzas and milkshakes wasn’t such a great idea. Sitting on the exam table, shirtless, with a heap of fat between his legs, he feels a little embarrassed. The doctor pokes and prods and measures the fat. He says the back pain will probably go away if he works out and loses some weight. Oikawa knows that won’t happen, not with the guy next door’s roommate becoming his boyfriend and feeding him even when he;s stuffed and half asleep. Pampering him and encouraging him to try for 600 lbs. So he begs the doctor for pain meds “to make it easier to workout” and the doctor gives in. He gives antibiotics for the infection and makes an appointment with a nutritionist for oikawa. A week later, he meets with her. She’s chubby herself and doesn’t focus on weight. She just wants him to get enough nutrients, even if it means more calories, and move around a bit more. He agrees to go on walks and eat more fruits and veggies.
The walks are hard. Sugawara goes with him, but he gives up a block away from dairy queen, and only goes farther because he’s promised as much ice cream as he can eat. They have to get a cab for the five blocks back. Still, he goes every day, making it to dairy queen, eating a ton, and taking a cab back. Sometimes he goes a block or two before getting a cab. But, aside from that, he's more lazy. The pain pills make him drowsy, so he prefers to just eat, binge watch shows, and not get up. After a few months, he gets another infection and has to go back to the doctor. He’s diagnosed with diabetes and put on insulin. He also has to stop walking for a while. Suga takes care of everything. They’ve moved in together in a nicer place. Oikawa knows he’s gone too far, but the laziness is addicting and he can’t walk much. He’s always hungry too and he’s no longer sure what people do when they don't eat or sleep. He gains 30 pounds the first month, then plateaus for a bit. He goes back to walking, but only two blocks to the shake shack for a meal with far more calories than he’s burned(5k to 10k). He can walk back now, but it’s hard, and he uses the elevator to get to the second floor. He becomes depressed. His body is ruined. It will never go back to the thin athlete. He’s accepted that. There’s no chance of turning back, and a part of him doesn’t want to. But the other part speaks cruelly to him. He drowns himself in food for comfort and suga helps, knowing it’s the problem, but also the only thing that helps. Oikawa has been binge eating for too long. It’s all he has. His walks get less frequent and he’ll barely touch fruits and vegetables unless they’re fried or covered in chocolate. What’s the point? He might as well enjoy the only thing he can anymore.
After almost a year of barely gaining, he gets another growth spurt. He gains 20 lbs in December, and another 120 in the next few months. Suga weighed him after seeing how tight his sweatpants were. But Oikawa has found a new hobby and isn’t too upset by it. As a gainer, posting videos and photo’s online, he’s connected with people like him with positive mindsets. He’s made friends. And his better mood means the sex with suga is great. He proposes at the end of a video and suga agrees. They pick a year from then with the goal of making oikawa 850 lbs for their wedding day. He’s not so sure about it since he struggles with mobility already, but he’s convinced to try. He downs 10,000 calorie gainer shakes and appetite enhancers, uses a funnel for downing chocolate syrup, melted butter with sugar, milk, heavy cream, and smoothies. And he tries to continue his regular binges. It’s hard, but fun, and his fans love it. His belly expands further, his sweats rip on camera. His underwear isn’t even visible, though he often doesn’t wear any. By the wedding day, he’s 893lbs and it takes all his effort to stand for the ceremony. Their honeymoon is one of the last times he leaves their new house.
