So yesterday I was looking for the official old Melevisione artwork they used in the early 2000s to show to friends and I found something impressive! In 2007 Cartobaleno (that worked on preproduction artwork for both Winx Club and Huntik) did some lovely Melevisione artwork for publishing purposes!!

Look at them, there’s so much personality in here:

When I saw how they made Lucio lanky with long skinny hands I thought of @fdevitart’s DnD redesign, you were so right XD Also making the ears shaped like horns, mmmmm peak character deisgn

I am quite satisfied with what I did in my designs but these? Grogeous, I am absolutely smitten

Melevisione - Favole e Cartoni ma è davvero un cartone animato

La Melevisione si presta tantissimo a una versione animata o un fumetto per il suo tono e grande varietà di personaggi, quindi ho provato a fare un character sheet <3

Milo Cotogno - Elf tavenkeeper, ultimate peacemaker

Fata Lina - Sweet feisty water fairy

Lupo Lucio - Local chaotic neutral wolf

Strega Varana - Cunning witch who wants to be the best at villany

Vermio Malgozzo - Local con man, stirring drama is literally his job

Visto che oggi è l'anniversario della Melevisione vi mostro cosa ho fatto dopo aver rivisitato la trilogia della partenza di Tonio! Rappresenta quel momento in cui tutti si ritirano e attendono la decisione di Tonio, non sapendo cosa sperare di più, che resti o che parta... :’c ❤️

Since today is the 22nd anniversary of Melevisione’s first episode I give you what I did after revisting the three episodes about the departure of Tonio! It represents the moment where everyone splits up waiting for Tonio to make his decision, not know what to hope more, should he stay or leave... :’c ❤️ For context, their world in is in danger because human are starting to lose their love for fairytales and stories, and they all risk to disappear! Someone brave, who knows how to tell stories and encourage imagination in people has to go among humans and help them. That person is Tonio. He decides to leave for this mission and there’s a whole episode about him saying goodbye to his dearest friends and making sure the next elf is ready to fill his role.

Listen this fantasy sitcom is very funny but sometimes they drop the stuff that makes you very emotional, and this was arguably THE emotional event of the whole show ;w;
