are you a buy every dlc kinda planet zoo guy or a buy only the dlc that looks interesting guy (im the former, tis my shameless indulgence)
haha I actually have them all except the deluxe? pack that comes with Komodo dragons & pgymy hippos which I kinda regret cause regular hippos are such a pain to build for
steam has sales pretty often so I usually wait until they come on sale to snag em. I think the quality of the DLC animals + the items are definitely worth it, especially since its a game I still enjoy playing regularly after 3 years. The Barnyard pack was fun but I feel a little underwhelmed that there's not more themed building / decor farm pieces included :/
I've been meaning to mention this but Ailirocide as a name rips so hard!! so fucking clever
THANK YOU AAHHH I’m so proud of it, admittedly lmao
Fun fact: it was originally going to be Felicide, but I eventually scratched that due to the fact that I wasn’t sure if I wanted the primary species (the felfolk) to actually be solely cats … plus the fact that the title has already been claimed by a creator who has done some fucked up stuff in the past, and I wanted zero association with.
okay Bestie Marry Kill uhhhhh Brightheart Silverstream and Mousefur 👀
oh god this is hard because i haven't read any books where these three are somewhat important in god knows how long-
u h marry brightheart i guess, i'd be besties with mousefur (she's cool from what i remember), and i guess kill silverstream??? i mean i like silverstream and all (from what i remember,,, actually i don't remember anything she did other than die) but by process of elimination she has to die (don't take that out of context)-
A long while ago, I had a follower celebration contest. For the winners, I am writing either short stories or poems based on the ~vibes~ of their blogs. Here is the second one.
This story is inspired by @fatal-blow . I went with some cute gay fantasy hurt/comfort. These are characters in a world that randomly popped into my head looking at your blog, so I hope you like it, fatal! (I've never written humanoid animal characters like this, so I hope it comes across well.)
The door opened with a dull thunk, framing Leo’s large form against the storm outside. Onca jumped up, his tail swishing in concern as Leo staggered in.
“I’m fine,” Leo said, brushing Onca away with a large paw as he slumped onto the couch.
“You don’t have to pretend.” Onca perched on the couch next to his love, one spotted leg curled under him. “I know you better than that.”
Leo sighed. “I know,” he said. He grimaced as Onca tried to push his muddied mane off his chest.
In the light from their fireplace, the mud was dark. It mingled with partially dried blood from a gash just under Leo’s collarbone.
“You really have to be more careful,” Onca remonstrated as he slid off the couch.
Rummaging through the drawers in their small kitchen, he managed to find a washcloth that he wouldn’t mind ruining. Onca ran the cloth under the sink, wringing it out gently as he listened to Leo grunt in the other room.
From the kitchen door, Onca could see the marks of whatever battle Leo had faced. His pale golden fur was streaked with dirt, and his mane was a tangled mess. This would need more than one cloth.
He filled a bucket and padded softly into the living room. “The Anchordatae again?”
Leo nodded. “A whole unit of Wielders.”
“You’re outmatched by their magic every time.”
“We hold them back well enough.” Leo wrapped a paw around Onca’s narrow wrist as he gently rubbed at the filth on Leo’s shoulder. “It would help if we had more Wielders on our side.”
Onca shook his head, his ears folding back. “I’m a healer, not a fighter.”
“And I love you for it.” Leo let his paw fall again, his eyes sliding shut. “I just wish…”
“I know,” Onca said.
A warm silence embraced them as Onca tenderly wiped down Leo’s wounds. The gashes left by magic were never as clean as those left by weapons. More scars would be added to Leo’s already vast collection. In the bucket, the water turned ruddy, glinting in the firelight.
At last, Onca came to the worst of the injuries, the cut under Leo’s collarbone. It stretched from his shoulder down to the centre of his chest. “Leo, my love,” Onca said, his voice soft, “this one needs healing… I’ll have to remove your binder.”
Leo’s lip raised slightly, but he nodded.
Onca took great care as he unclasped the binder. Leo was only ever without it when it was just the two of them. It was an honour that Leo was so comfortable with him.
The wound fully revealed, Onca called on the magic within him. Warmth built, flowing from his heart out to the end of his spotted tail and into his paws. He placed the tip of a claw gently at the lower end of the gash. A soft glow, the same gold as the firelight, spread from the claw as Onca ran it slowly along the cut. The skin and fur knit themselves together in the golden shine.
“There,” Onca said once he had finished. All that remained of the gash was a pink and red gap in Leo’s fur.
“Thank you.” Leo’s words were slow, heavy.
“What would you do without me?” Onca teased.
Leo smiled softly, his eyes still closed. “I really don’t know.”
Kissing Leo’s forehead, Onca said, “sleep now, my love, I’ll be here when you wake.”
fatal-blow replied to your post “okay can i just say .. reading this book i get all those spottedleaf...”
and now you understand the fandom's frustration gfkdh
honestly it makes sense to me now how theres like a bajillion fanmade ships with even random bg characters if this is how one of the first ‘’romances’’ are written PFFFF
