Not to mention casual racism! A lot of the designs for the darker skinned characters really bother me. And I never really thought about it, but you're really right, Crusaders, in the grand scheme of things, means nothing, if you like know the basics about the conflict w/ DIO. DIO is the only truly memorable thing from SC and that's just because he's so fucking ridiculous.

the fight with dio really is the only good thing but he literally doesn’t even show up for a vast majority of SC so there’s no reason to stick around for him beyond people talking about how evil he is without actually showing anything

Any good so far? I literally know nothing about it so like. Couldn't tell you about whether or not I've heard good or bad things about it

so far it’s pretty solid and i’m definitely intrigued by it but sometimes it feels like it’s trying too hard to be weird and daring

like it does really interesting stuff but sometimes it feels like it’s doing too much, y’know? like verging into style over substance territory

that said one scene from the second episode made me so scared i had trouble leaving my room so it gets points for that

Even after the hype Devilman Crybaby is still genuinely a really solid anime even if the first half is way too horny, having an anime where all 4 main characters are LGBT is some good shit and it’s just a fun depressing romp
