@fatetm ♡’d FOR A STARTER ( ZHONGLI & XIAO )
WHISPERING STRUCTURES continue with the spirits of the fallen that reach out underneath his feet. Some haven’t found peace, leaving them to wander throughout the region and haunting the archon himself. Faults, progress, ORDER were key into his beliefs...all while maintaining a subtle distance away from mortals, not wanting to intervene directly. He’s left the people of LIYUE into their own hands throughout the suppose ‘death’ of their beloved god to test them. What would become their answer when it comes to a future, especially by mortals who depended upon AN ARCHON WHO GRANTS THEIR WISHES ON A DAILY BASIS THROUGH CONTRACTS? How many have nearly been lost as ZHONGLI reveals the scripture of names embedded with calligraphy. The terms laid out and saw how endless it truly was, some already coming to fulfilling them. What an unsettling turn of events it’s becoming where he contemplates on going back from that proposal.
“. . .” No good can become for ZHONGLI to suddenly back down, being honor bound as he truly was. A wince nearly escapes from his troubled expression that could only be seen by those who ‘understood him long enough’. Such individuals included the yaksha who arrived so suddenly, letting LIYUE’S winds guide him in the archon’s direction. MORAX makes no attempts at turning around to properly greet the boy...being too fixated on these after-thoughts. Perhaps it’d be best to discuss about it as mortals would consider TALKING THINGS OUT WILL DO WONDERS FOR THE HEAVY HEART. It’s a hollow expression but it must be done to ease whatever discomfort surfaces, especially this bothersome one.
“THE LANDS of LIYUE have truly flourished throughout the absence of a definite ARCHON, however people continue to be chained by MORAX by the contracts I’ve bestowed upon them. Though I am one who is honor bound to their contracts, I find myself harboring moments of...I believe humans refer it as ‘remorse’. How odd to be disturbed by such emotions that I would like your own opinion behind it, XIAO. Do instruct me whether these sentiments shall be useful to uphold our roles or they are not resourceful by any means. Years of solitude can bring an old man like myself in this state of mind, I’m afraid.”
