Please join us for an Advent Parish Mission with Father Wade L.J. Menezes, CPM of The Fathers of Mercy. Father Wade is a contributing writer for the National Catholic Register and has been a frequent guest on EWTN. Our Mission "Work Out Your Salvation!" (Philippians 2:12) will begin on Sunday December 4, 2016 through Wednesday December 7, 2016. Father Wade will speak at all Sunday Masses. Mass Times - 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am and 12 Noon. Mission hours Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as listed below, which will include Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, the mission conference, and Benediction. On Wednesday Evening the final conference will include Holy Mass from 7:30pm-8:30pm. The 4 night schedule is as follows. Sunday Conference - "Be Faithful to Daily Duty" Confession 5:30pm-6:30pm, Mission Hour with Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament 7:00pm-8:00pm and Confessions 8:15pm-the last in line. Monday Conference - "Be Other-Centered" Confession 5:30pm-6:30pm, Mission Hour with Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament 7:00pm-8:00pm and Confessions 8:15pm-the last in line. Tuesday Conference - "Understand the Reality of Vice and Virtue" Confession 5:30pm-6:30pm, Mission Hour with Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament 7:00pm-8:00pm and Confessions 8:15pm-the last in line. Wednesday Conference - "Practice and Live the Sacraments" Confession 5:30pm-6:30pm, Holy Mass 7:30pm-8:30pm. Persons who attend at least several of the mission services during the week, including the Closing Mass on Wednesday, have the oppurtunity to receive a plenary indulgence, which remits all temporal punishment due to sin that the person has incurred to that point in his or her life. The requirements to receive this plenary indulgence are: attendance at Mass and reception of Holy Communion in the state of sanctifying grace; confession within eight days of the close of the mission; prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father (at least one Our Father and one Hail Mary); and detachment from all of one's sins. #ParishMission #FathersOfMercy #FatherWade #Advent (at St. Theresa Church Trumbull, CT)
